2250pt High Elves list for review

Smack, I have found if I add a slight lift of my exacto blade to my glare, the models get the hint and paint themselves. This allows me to continue watching television while still convincing myself I am not wasting my life...

And E-dark, one of my brothers is a DE player and has kind of a mixed army; a few are painted and painted stupendously. His Dragon gives me shivers. But the rest of the army...well, grey is no black, but I primer myself to see a pattern here...

Oh the topic of painting It has taken me 15 years to paint a dragon, 5 nobles, 3 makes, 20 archers, 20 spearmen, 5 DPs, Tyrinoc charioc 25 sword masters, 10 W. Lions, 2 bolt throwers.

i have anothe dragon, griffon, old school tyrion, 16 spearmen, maiden gaurd, 5 silver helms, 10 reavers to paint atm.

i am planning another battle force, 20 pheonix guard, another 2 units of DPs, 3 eagles, 10 more white lions!

I am in this for the long haul tbh

Alright this might be the weekend, finally to test out this army list. Not sure what I'll be going up against but I'm assuming it'll be either Dwarfs, Orcs & Goblins or Bretonnian Knights. The battle will be set at 2250 points. Will follow up with a report and possibly some photographs of the battle.

Anyway, I finally got in my game!!! You know the list that started this entire string! So, my first time playing High Elves and I got to face an Empire Army which included a steam tank. Unfortunately I don't have a full battle report with pictures but the bottom line is the list worked out great! The final score was 1745 for the High Elves and 945 for the Empire that made it a Solid Victory for meeee (insert Gollum's voice).

High Elves 1-0-0 *First win a solid victory vs. Empire!

Well done Elvendarkness! Only question is how did the Swordmasters work? I had a look over the list againand was just thinking that with all the offensive units you have that are faster than the Swordmasters, such as the Lion Chariot, Dragon Princes and the Dragon, maybe a unit of Phoenix Guard as a defensive block that can hold your opponent up might have been a better choice than swordmasters?

Thank you Smack! Funny you should as that question, the Swordmasters never saw combat, I sat them back near the bolt throwers for protection. The Lion Chariot got knocked out the first turn, the Dragon Princes did well and the Dragon did very well. I have to say that the Dragon really caused problems for him after I took out his shooting units with the Eagle, Dragon and bolt throwers. I flew the Dragon around his General's unit and a unit containing his wizard and use the breath weapon until I got both units down from 25 to 15 and then I charged the Dragon! Currently I don't own any Phoenix Guard but they look like nice models.

Haha. I find that pretty damn amusing! I'm in the same boat, own over 25 Swordmasters and no Phoenix Guard.

I would have thought between purchasing either the Phoenix Guard or White Lions if I had the money that I'd go with a unit of White Lions.

And yes, it was amusing because the Sword Masters kept going back and fourth behind a hill the entire game, the bolt throwers were located on the top of the hill. I would like to see them in combat as well as I would like to see the Lion Chariot in combat at some point.
