Would you folks like separate army threads for each codex, like the fantasy army threads ?

Brett suggested the idea and while, I'm not 40k fan It hink it could be an idea to help us get some mre members.

My only concerns:-

1) someone else will need to moderate them because I know nothing about 40k
2) I would only want to add them if enough people were likely to use them, I don't want the forum looking too dormant, it deter people from joining.

Let me know what you think. Thanks,
Sigmar

PS. I think someone may have suggested this before but I was reluctant because I wanted to keep it all Fantasy related. If enough people are interested though I'm happy to oblige with the new codex threads.

PPS. topic also posted ni Fantasy Thread.

I think it would be nice, especially if there were a way to make the army/codex forums minimizable in such a way that the forum list isn't 5 pages long. In other words, if they were minimized, or child boards that linked off a main Army/Codex board. And moderating the 40K boards would be no different than the Army boards. You take the folks who play the army and have an even-keeled disposition and ask them to help out.

I don't really think it needs any special moderating or a forum bitz.

There are no options to set up collapsible child forum threads so if I set one up for 40k it would have to be the same as the Fantasy threads.

Will it be used enough to justify itself ? I'm worried people will look at the forum and think we're not active enough. What do you think ?

Well the fact this is a Fantasy battle board does mean we should have main focus on Fantasy but I aggree that we do need abit more 40k to invite the mainly 40k players who also play abit of Fantasy...I suggest maybe having a Fourm for them and one section should be codex's and one about armies so then you have a short Board still.

It all depends on you Sigmar, but there is little traffic here on the 40K thread itself, thus meaning only one or two mod can take care of it at the most.

But, really, I don't want to turn this into 40K forum, and a thing about 40K is... Once it takes root, it's only going to get bigger...

Good mixture of about 70~75% Fantasy and rest 40K is about good balance for me.

Thanks guys.

I am going to have a bit of a forum tidy up and delete the old archive area (i'll move the posts into the main threads) and create a new 40k section for:-

40k Armies
40k Tactics
40k Battle Reports and
40k General Chat

how dopes that sound ?

I like this the way it is now. Gives 40k it's little corner, but still Fantasy focused.
