The reason I originally mentioned the painted models is because this banner is going up on "Coolminiornot" and obviously the people hitting that site are there to check out all the minis. By having something about our user galleries we are apealing to the same group of people.

Maybe we can have a series of messages that pop up on the banner instead? Things like this:

"Friendly Warhammer Fantasy Community!"
"Miniature Galleries"
"In Depth Battle Reports!"
"Forum Style Role-play!"

If the banner is set up as a gif, you can have it cycle up a new message every few seconds.

yup, text is easy. Just asking for input for images etc. Because its so hard to get decent ones at that height. Really cool to hear what peoples opinions are

Yeah, I'm just saying that for that particular site, we should try to put some kind of emphasis on the painted miniatures, because that would help us target the kind of people who are already on that site.

Yeah definately, I do get your point. Just I value peoples ideas on this. Whats the best way we can get that emphasis across.

Coolminiornot is a showcase website right, might want to do something along the lines of close up facial shots on some of the top minis that forum members have painted dims Commissar comes to mind 8)

I like it! Maybe add a few more pictures and add a message saying who we are?

Ok, whfb.comoj.com/banner/test.html

Check it out and let me know what you think. I had to change quality to get file size to below 100kb. Its 93kb at the moment.

Glad you like. Thanks for your input aswell. Love bouncing ideas of people when designing.

You guys think the timing is ok? Doesnt change too fast too slow?

I think the speed is perfect, its fast enough that you dont look at the same thing for a long time, but at the same time, its slow enough that you can appreciate the pictures.

I agree and it appears you can add more to it which is always good.
