Well, I can give you some strengths and weaknesses of Dwarves:

STRENGHTS
-Pretty anti-magic. A list with no anti-magic runes already has 4 dispel dice
-Very good ranged units. Quarrellers, Organ Gun, Cannon, Thunderers, all these units will tear you up before you get to their close combat units.
-High armour save. Your zombies will most likely do nothing against the Dwarves' armour saves.
-Pretty good in CC. If he has a thane with nice runes, he can easily kill tons of zombies and even a Vamp in a few turns.

WEAKNESSES
-Stunty legs. They have movement 3. Use this to you advantage, get calvary and outmanuever them!
-Very expensive (points wise). You will almost always outnumber him. Unless he has some good runes on standards, you will outnumber.
-Shooty. He will usually take a lot of shooting instead of CC. This may not always be the case, but if it is he won't have very many CC units.
-Compact. He will usually place all his shooters on high ground, leaving the CC units to protect it. This gives you more table corners, and lots of room to surround him.

Just a few tips on Dwarves. Hope it helped!

take alot of stuff. gotta force him to choose what to shoot, and know youl have enough for combat.

Ive only wtched one game of this match up, i was helping dwarves.

i found Crypt ghouls can be very effective vs dwarves as they have t4, so a bit of extra resistance, and pack 2 poison attacks, enabling them to avoid the army-wide T4 of the little tuff stunties. Consider them.

Agreeing with powner, zombies will probably be a hinderence against dwarves, as it is unlikely they will wound ANYONE and fear has little effect against ld 9. Meanwhile, the dwarves will kill them just by bonking them on the head with bugmans finest (which they have plenty of). Save em for other battles (or pick em out of the ground) where they mark their usefullness.

I'd say take a large squad of Zombies if you know you'll be facing a shooty Dwarven army. Stick them 10 wide and advance behind them.

A Vampire with Red Fury and Eternal Hatred is evil, you will carve stuff up with him, I have faced this guy and he single-handedly kept a combat I was winning to a drawn combat for two turns. Also, you might want to look at a Varghulf. Dropping him on a flank presents another threat angle and if coupled with the Wraiths will allow them to march. Summoning spam on one dice should force his hand with dispels as well so you should find out that you get to bulk out your units.

Thought about the Vampire too used one alike before, and he held a 20 spearmen unit up for 2 turns, impressive for one man :)

cant throw a Varghulf in there have used my Rare choice on Cain Wraiths and they are much more evil then Varghulf as they can move through any terrain, and ethereal so great shield for my army, and with a movement of 6, they can quickly charge in a completely difrent direction, and ofc, the Banshee howl :D

have edited my list a bit though, look it through

The Banner of the Dead Legion Doubles your unit strength, for 25 pts. so my 5 Black Knights who each count as 2, are actually a unit of 20

I would consider taking Ghoulkin with one Vamp. This gives you 8" less of being shot before coming to grips with the bearded drunkards. You only need to save 14 points to do this, so making one unit of Ghouls 13 would do it, and then you can focus on this unit with your Summon Ghouls.

i reckon the army list looks good. Keepin the black knights alive may be tricky but if they do live theyl provide some good in synced charges. True value, that. GHOULS! yeah!

I thought of that too at first, half my army moving an extra 8" is a really nice power :) BUT
Its a Vampiric power, so either one of my Vampire will lose a magic lvl or they wont be able to raise Ghouls :S and i really need that, that one will raise more then he will be able too shoot down in 1 turn,... so thought about it :) but took the lesser evil

Take Wraiths and Bats - I've played against VC with my Dwarfs a lot and those are the two units I worry about the most. Bats because they tie down and kill my Warmachines and Wraiths because I can't hurt them

good logic and one of the things that makes this game so good; there is more than one 'workable approach" for every army.

except the Tomb Kings, they suck no matter what you do :-)

Have you considered mounting a Vampire on a hellsteed and tucking him in behind a unit of ghouls ? I rarely battle without a hellsteed mounted vamp, they're just too useful against war machine enemies to leave home without one !
