These are the armies I plan on getting and in this order. This is mainly for my personal use so I don't forget.

Dwarves (Need to finish) by 2010
Orcs & Goblins by 2012 (Hmmmm, we are supposedly supposed to die this year  )
Tau by 2014
Skaven by 2016
Vampire Counts by 2018
Empire by 2020
Bretonnia by 2021
Ogre Kingdoms by 2023

As I have now noticed this will take a long time and may not come into fruition. Of course I may spend money on several armies in one year, but right now I'm focusing on one army untill it's done.

When I'm a multimillionaire I will easily have these armies, but that will be in my 30's

If you manage to follow this plan I'll buy the Ogre Kingdom's army for you in 2023! :-)

Good luck with that powner. From my own experience, watch ebay for people selling their collections, that will be by far the easiest and cheapest way to purchase sizable armies to get things started. Its not unusual to find a +2000pt army for less than $200 this way.

What Guardian said, I've sold off a number of armies over the years to make room for "what I really wanted." Obviously that collection inevitably expands again but the intentions are there.

I bought 2 squads of extra Archers off Ebay for £9 in total! Didn't need them, but couldn't resist a bargain lol. My Swordmasters now number 29 too thanks to Ebay. Ebay is your friend! :D

Yep, ebay is your very, very good friend. It seems that the best way is to pick up armies that people have started. Those seem to go really cheap a lot of the time because no one seems willing to put the little extra work into stripping the models and starting over. For that matter, a lot of the time, just a little touch up paint makes a HUGE difference with amature painted models.

I've stripped all the models I've bought. Though thats a bad thing some times as my painting isn't as good as some I've bought, but ow well. ^_^

My friend found that dettol seems to work really well for stripping paint. Better than most paint strippers that are plastic based so ruin the models.

I currently own 10 armies. I know, its a lot. Several are completely painted as well so I'm not a collector with no reason. What I would like to know is what to do next. I have, and here is my list:

Royal Brettonians (2250)
Ducal Brettonians (2250)
Orcs (2250)
Goblins (seperate armies both 2250)
Lizardmen (2250)
Dwarves (2250)
Wood Elves (2250)
Warriors of Chaos (2250)
Empire (2250)
Vampire Counts (2250)

What do you friends think I should collect next? I was thinking maybe beasts or dark elves. Ideas? Why?

dark elves or high elves. Dark elves are very strong in combat, high elves are very cool in magic, they owl are great in painting, they owl are interesting stories, so take an army which you like more.

Since everyone else seems to be doing it I'll post my current and future army plans.

High Elves My first army totals in excess of 3500 points, heavily infantry based.
Empire A slight foray into trying them out,1000-1200 points mostly infantry.
Dwarves Skull pass Dwarfs
O&G same ^^^^^ minus the troll and some Gobbos which I gave to a friend's younger brother.
DOW about 1500 as a basic army using Ogres and the Empire soldiers can got excess of 5000 if I use all the other armies soldiers,as the DOW list is very easy to manipulatie

Soon to be armies
Skaven 2000-Infinity I'm setting out on the goal to get a playable army painted to table top standard (wish me luck on that) Will be a infantry assault army,Plague Monks everywhere.

Space Marines, lots of plans for these guys,at least a 1000 point army.

After that there's the ever present WOC,Bret and Lizardmen vying for my attention.
