With all the Creating/modifying of Army's it's got me thinking. the discussion in the 40K Female Models and wanting to make a female Empire Army. I was thinking about using the Empire Army Book and modifying it.

I started with Spearman, made them into Spearwoman.

Spearwoman
------------------------------------
Points/Model: 4

M / WS / BS / S / T / W / I / A / LD
4 * * 4 * * *1 * *2 **2 * * 1 * 4 **1 * * 7

Sergeant
M / WS / BS / S / T / W / I / A / LD
4 * * 4 * * *1 * *2 **2 * * 1 * 4 **2 * * 7

UNIT SIZE: 10+

EQUIPMENT: Light armor, Dwarf Spears.

SPECIAL RULES:
State Troops.

Options:
* any unit may be equipped with shields for +1 pt/per model.
* upgrade one Spearwoman to a Bard for +4 pts.
* upgrade one Spearwoman to a standard bearer for +8 pts.
* promote one Spearwoman to a Sergeant for +8pts.

Dwarf Spear: Purchased from a Dwarf Craftsmen, these spears are razor sharp. -1 armour save

when I have more I'll move the Description of the Dwarf Spear to a Special Weapons section.

I don't see the the woman being any weaker than the men in the Empire so just use the regular stats with female models.

Ya, I bet the women are like our women. Strong but delicate, and other sweet nothings.

I have to agree with Bilbo on using the stats already in the Empire book. (At least thats what I'd do.)

On the other hand, it looks like you have a really neat project planned. I'd love to see how it progresses, but with your game mechanics ideas and the fluff when you get that far.

I'll be looking forward to seeing more!

I thought about that too. when I finally make my female army I will just use the stats from the Empire.
I agree woman of are time are strong as men, but the Empire isn't as far as us. the Empire is more like what we where in the past.... when woman where weaker/ more restricted as to what they could and couldn't do.
I did a few more units and a "new' unit. I'll post them after I finish watching Blade.

thanks Guardian, at first I didn't have much. just the idea to try after trying your Wood Goblin Army Hero/Lord challenge.
but as I make/edit the units I get ideas for them and what not.

Swordswoman
------------------------------------
Points/Model: 5

M / WS / BS / S / T / W / I / A / LD
4 * * 5 * * *1 * *2 **2 * * 1 * 5 **1 * * 7

Duelist
M / WS / BS / S / T / W / I / A / LD
4 * * 5 * * *1 * *2 **2 * * 1 * 5 **2 * * 7

State Troops.

Options:
* upgrade one Swordswoman to a Bard for +5 pts.
* upgrade one Swordswoman to a standard bearer for +10 pts.

Like the Spearwoman(other then the Dwarf Spears), not much different for the Swordswoman.

Line Girls
---------------------------------------------
Points/Model: 7

M / WS / BS / S / T / W / I / A / LD
4 * * 1 * * *4 * *2 **2 * * 1 * 4 **1 * * 7

Markswoman
M / WS / BS / S / T / W / I / A / LD
4 * * 2 * * *5 * *2 **2 * * 1 * 4 **1 * * 7

UNIT SIZE: 10+

EQUIPMENT: Slings

SPECIAL RULES:
State Troops.

Options:
* upgrade one Line Girl to a Bard for +4 pts.
* upgrade one Line Girl to a standard bearer for +8 pts.
* promote one Line Girl to a Markswoman for +8pts

_______________________________________________________

Short Girls
---------------------------------------------
Points/Model: 7

M / WS / BS / S / T / W / I / A / LD
4 * * 1 * * *4 * *2 **2 * * 1 * 4 **1 * * 7

Markswoman
M / WS / BS / S / T / W / I / A / LD
4 * * 2 * * *5 * *2 **2 * * 1 * 4 **1 * * 7

UNIT SIZE: 10-20

EQUIPMENT: Short Bows

SPECIAL RULES:
Militia; Skirmishers.

Options:
* promote one Short Girl to a Markswoman for +5pts
* One unit may be equipped with Bows for +3 pt/per model.(not including the Huntswoman Unit.)

Army Organisation:
Huntswoman: A single unit of Short Girls may be given Bows(+3 pt/per model) and upgraded to Huntswoman at a cost of +2 points/model. Huntswoman have the scouts special rule.(Total points/model +5.).

Line Girls are equivalent to Handgunners/Crossbowmen. Name may change.
Short Girls get their names from the short bows they use.
Short Girls are equivalent to Archers.

Pole Dancers
------------------------------------
Points/Model: 9

M / WS / BS / S / T / W / I / A / LD
4 * * 5 * * *0 * *2 **2 * * 1 * 5 **2 * * 7

Chorus Girl
M / WS / BS / S / T / W / I / A / LD
4 * * 6 * * *0 * *2 **2 * * 1 * 5 **3 * * 8

UNIT SIZE: 10-15

EQUIPMENT: Staffs, Light armor.

SPECIAL RULES:
State Troops; Skirmishers.

Options:
* upgrade one Pole Dancers to a Bard for +7 pts.
* upgrade one Pole Dancers to a standard bearer for +12 pts.
* promote one Pole Dancers to a Chorus Girl for +12pts.

Staff: two handed, +1 attack

I came up with this unit because I wanted another core choice.
Pole Dancers are like Wardancers, Chorus Girl may change to another name.

I'm going to add some Fluff to these units before I make any more units.

I love a couple of the names you have come up with. "Pole Dancers" had me grinning like an idiot.

I'm thinking the pole dancers should have a different name, it's funny but some may be offended.

I chose the name because of the weapons they use, if people complain about the name I'll change it. I don't really see a problem with the name.

Pole Dancers:
Ploe Dancers are Spearwoman who couldn't conform to ranks. Given Staffs instead of Spears and taught to use them as Skirmishers. The woman have since gone beyond the origanel training, adding acrobatics training to the training regem as well. Pole Dancers are like Acrobats dancing and fighting a cross the feild. The best Pole Dancers are promoted to Chorus Girl's and given command of a unit of Pole Dancers.

Line Girls:
Line Girls lack the skills to hold a shield and sword and use them at the same time. But they have great hand eye coordination, they are given slings and taught to aim at targets and multiple targets at close rage. The Line Girls that have the best accuracy and show good leadership skills that they are given a group of Line Girls to command.

Short Woman:
Short Woman get their name from the Short Bows they wield. Short Woman have a background in hunting and archery. Whether it's sport or food they are chosen to wield Short Bows. Short Woman are trained to work in groups but as Skirmishers. Markswoman are those Woman who's skills are better then the others.

Huntswoman:
Huntswoman are Short Woman who's skills exceeded that of even the Markswoman. Huntswoman train harder and longer then the Short Woman. Huntswoman are sent ahead to scout the area/enemy ahead.

this is what I have so far. I might make some a unique unit for each group (like the special groups listed in the new Empire Uniforms & Heralds book). I may add some more fluff to them.

the above average WS is because they train more to make up for the lower S and T.
and most of the units WS is only 1 point higher then the corresponding Empire units.
