Ok fellow longbeards, post your favorite BSB build so say a 2000-2250 army. List magical items and why you like your BSB. Ill take all posts and put them into a poll and well vote. Winner gets +1 Reputation ( if we have enough participation ill up 1st place and give 2nd maybe 3rd some rep too).

Master Rune of Gromgil (1+ AS)
Rune of Furnace (immune to lore of metal and fire attacks)
Rune of Cleaving (+1 Str)
Rune of Reroll failed armor saves (forgot name)

I like this build becuase i get a survivable BSB, 1+ rerollable armor save. Immune to metal sniping, and he has 3 str 5 attacks and can dish out some damage as well. Now some ppl will say that I need the Immune to Killing Blow rune, and i have used this one as well, but ive found out that the rerolling failed armor saves comes into play a lot more often then immunity to killing Blow. there ya go. now tell me what your build would be.

This is my build, not much of a fighter more of a combat res helper

BSB

Rune of Battle (+1 combat res)
Rune of Stoicism (the unit counts as double it's unit strength)
Rune of Determination (the unit may use one d6 for a break test. One use only)

I add him to a unit of Longbeards with a Rune of Courage standard.

So a unit of 20 Longbeards with Immune to panic, fear, and terror. They would have a combat res of 7:

+1 Rune of Battle
+3 for 3 ranks
+1 BSB
+1 Standard
+1 outnumber anything less than 40US

MR Gromil
RO Furnace
RO Cleaving
RO Might

1+ AS, Immunity to flaming attacks so no sniping by mages with lore of metal, 3 S5 attacks vs. T4 of less or 3 S10 attacks vs. T5 or higher.

So no more BSB builds? Ill wait till the end of the week and then make it into a poll.

Dwarf Dragon Slayer BSB with Master Rune of Grimnir. But then I do run a Slayer Army.

yeah sorry bilbo, for this competetion, its just normal dwarfs with no spiky orange hair.

OK, I'll give one I would use but I haven't played normal dwarfs in a while.

Master Rune of Grungi (5+ Ward Save against shooting, including spells that are magic missiles, for units within 6 Inches)
Rune of Courage (Immune to Fear and Terror)
Rune of Battle (adds +1 to CR)

So in a unit with full command already and 3 ranks have saves vs shooting, won't flee from terror, and will have a Static CR of at least 6 at start of combat.
