Ok gentlemen, post your best Orc Lord build and why you build him this way, not shaman just Lord.

Well wait a week or 2 and then turn it into a poll and winner gets rep, if enough ppl so will 2nd and 3rd place.

Black Orc Lord

Boar
Heavy Armor
Enchanted Shield
Ulag's Akkrit Axe
Warboss Umm's Best Boss 'At
Warboss Imbad's Iron Gnashas

He has a 1+ armor save, 5+ ward save, 4 attacks that always reroll to hit and are +1 str 1st round and he has Killing blow. Ive found KB usefull where ppl have really heavy armor or they can negate my magic weapon, but since KB is an item it still works.

And best of all, Hes just 275 pts, so you can still get a lot of troops. I place him in a big block of orcs with shields and let him rack up some kills.

Never play the following death dealer against artillery crowded armies; dwarves, empire, anyone with high strengh such as cannons.

Black Orc Warboss
Heavy Armour, Shield
Armour of Gork= Toughness 6
Basha's Bloodaxe

First round of combat;
If Add. Choppa, 5+D6 strength 7 attacks
If GW, 4+D6 strength 8 attacks

Toughness 6 means measly strength 3 shooting and attacks wont get through, but the idea is to keep him away from that a bit anyway, and launch him straight into combat with Waaagh and hand of gork etc.

Hes risky, but a killing machine.

lol in bigger games ive used your build once, but i gave him the scout item Maads map i think, so he could scout and get into combat that much faster, i dont think i gave him the +1 toughness though.

Not sure it's legal but sounds funny.

Savage Orc Warboss 125
Orc Boar Chariot 80
Porko's Pigstikka 40 (additional attack for each rank of opponents)
Spiteful Shield 25 (1's to strike bearer take S5 hit)
Effigy of Mork 35 (-1 to hit)

Frezied Chariot and 6+ ward save for character.

Orc Warboss
Boar
Light Armor
Porko's Pigstikka (Additional attack for each rank of opponent)
Warboss Umm's Best Boss 'At (5+ Ward save)
Warboss Imbad's Iron Gnashas (Killing Blow)

I usually will put him in a unit of Boar Boyz on a flank. Use spiders to draw attention away from Boar Boyz and try to get into a flanking position.

Wait, Grandpa, he can`t use Porko`s to maximum efficiency in the flank, can he? Isn`t an extra attack per point of rank bonus?

Thats a good point I might have to rethink that. I guess I assumed it always meant static rank bonus, not rank bonus they would receive based on the specific combat.

My issue here is that my main competition is a Dwarf army, so I need to get across the field quickly and into to combat before he kills my crack units.

Since at this time I dont have a Wyvern, squigs or a doom diver, I have resorted to trying to flank with chariots, boar boyz and spiders and hope that he focuses his artillery on my black orcs in the center (purely a diversion) while my unit of Orc Big Uns with additional choppas bring the most close combat ability and have the BSB in the unit.

We have a 2250 battle coming up and I just completed my army list.

Characters
Orc Lord on Boar
Porkos Bigstikka (+1 attack per enemies rank bonus during charge)
Big Boss Um's Hat (5+ ward save)
Iron Gnashas (Killing Blow)
BSB
Cant remember equipment
Orc Shaman
Level 2
Boar
?? (+2 casting while in close combat)
?? (+1 casting)
Goblin Boss
Amulet of Protectyness (Wounds give saves of the wounder)
Cant remember rest

Core
Orc Boyz x 25
Big Uns
Additional Choppa
Light Armor
Command
Night Goblins x 30 x 2
Shields
Fanatics x 2 x 2
Command
Spider Riders x 10 x 2
Short Bows
Command
Special
Black Orcs x 10
Command
Shields
Boar Boyz x 5
Command
Spears
Rock Lobber
Orc Chariots x 2
Scythed Wheels
Rare
Troll

Sorry, but I think you need to check the rules. You cannot give a character with magic armour, mundane armour as well - so the heavy armour is replaced by the magical light armour. Also, you cannot combine magical weapon effects with mundane weapons, so you could not be S8 by using the GW. The rules state, if you have a magical weapon, then you have to use that, and also the 'armed to da teef' rules states that if you take a magic weapon then you ignore that rule. Which means, you won't have access to the two choppas or a great weapon.

Sorry.
