Ah! Revenge is so sweet. Just had a rematch with the Ogre child and kicked his fat little tarcus for a solid victory with my beasts. I went with a warlord who performed well and I was able to use his ambushing rule quite effectively. My dragon ogres had quit a battle but lost in compo and almost ran off the table taking my warlord with them. My warlord toughed it out though and kicked their green yellow carcusses off the battle ground and came back to kill off the tyrant for the solid victory. EAT THAT SON!

Thanks Brett, I have added the most recent Bret win vs Orcs. I think the other results have ben added correctly.

The poor old greenskins are propping up the bottom of the table now and Brets are well and truly on top in terms of 100% win in 4 games.

Let's keep this updated guys, as we get more members and more games on here it could become quite interestign reading.

Had another game with the son yesterday and won. The poor kid has seemed to have picked up my luck with dice rolls. I mean 3 leadbelchers and 2 of them miss firing on there first turn and the 3rd only taking out 2 warhounds is just crazy and to top that off his butcher misscasts on his second spell attempt and looses his magic for the rest of the game. Just like the last game, is justbad luck. I on the other hand was rolling superb dice which never happens. Murphy's Law I guess. Oh well I'm sure the tables will turn again soon.

No battles recently folks ?

I have one coming up in a week Dwarfs vs Dark Elves.

I might start popping some of the results from the reports I'm posting on the new Warhammer Reports hub site (http://2d6.blogspot.com). Does that sound ok or should I just leave this thread for forum member games only ?

Still assmebling my Chaos lads, looks like their first outing may be against VC, hopefully they enjoy getting stomped on by a giant!

Still building my Bretonnians, though I've gotten into Mordheim recently, it's a great game!!

I fielded a dwarf army in a 2000pt objective game again the filthy Druchii (3 victory points up for grabs by capturing 3 locations).

My opponent won 2-1. This does not tell the full story, I got absolutely slaughtered. If it had been a pitched battle it would have been a total massacre. He brought Crone Hellebron with a unit of Corsairs and an assassin, they swept all before them.

It was the first time I had met this old hag (6 + d3 str 10 attacks, rerollable misses in first round of combat !) and she certainly made light work of my dwarfs and thanes.

The only saving grace was Thorek who dealt out plenty of "hurt" on the enemy - from a distance I'll be raising the subject of Hellebron in the Dark Elves thread - I want to know what I can do to prevent a recurrence !

Pulled a draw to a minor loss to OK last Thursday. It was tight either way, and we didn't quite figure it out to the very last point.

And I got my Grudgebearer's team mostly painted. Scurrdi, quit slacking :p The best way to do Brets is painting a peasant unit, then a knight unit, then peasant, then knight etc. You can assembly line the peasantry to feel like you accomplished something, then shake things up by doing the knights and their bright unique schemes.

Ogre Kingdoms and Bretonnians are doing quit the reverse (in terms of their performance) on my Battle Reports hub.

I think it's because I have been using some battle reports from a particularly good Ogre player. Things should even up over time I guess. My objective is to get at least 3 reports for every army vs army combination (which by my reckoning will add up 408+ battle reports). That's a lot of copy pasting !

Hopefully, it will then become a decent resource for cheaking out strengths/weaknesses and the like.
