Chameleon skinks is the worst unit to shoot at. Saying the volley gun is bad because it needs 7's against Cham Skinks is unfair. You can't agrue the possibility of 30 S5 shots with -3 to save is amazing. It can be tempermental sure but what a great way to hold up an entire flank because your opponent is terrified of it. I wouldn't even shoot with it, just use it for sabre rattleing. I think the volley gun is best, cannon is great against large targets and multiwounds only, mortars are too weak and the Helstorm is way too inaccurate (scatter artillery dice? c'mon!). It's in the numbers and it just makes sense to me.

I believe that a Hellblaster is a masterpiece against any enemy!
It can destroy eithter a unit of Bret Knights or a regiment of any infantry.
It is also a perfect defense for other warmachines due to its short range).
I totally agree with Iggy about other machines!

Im with orcy and iggy. The hellblaster is a wondrous war machine.

1. Who says you play lizardmen every battle?
2. Some lizardmen armies dont contain chameleon skinks.
3. If they do why shoot them with the hellblaster, when you could take down saurus instead?
4. If your worried about them getting your warmachines, cover them with other units eg pistoliers, knights, even a single captain or infantry.

Yes, there are other units like chameleon skinks, such as waywatchers, but again, why shoot at them when you can potentially devastate the rest of the army?
