The Helbalster Volley Gun was neutered from last book and isn't equal to the Dwarfs Organ Gun. The Helstorm might be better than the Helblaster in current form.

possible 30 shots and most of the time it misrfires it still gets to fire

The Helblaster Volley Gun can't even kill off a unit of Chameleon Skinks, worthless.

You are going to average 12-14 shots on the 3 barrels, 30 is the rarity.

Then roll to hit and on the Chameleon Skinks it's going to take a 6 at close range and 7's (6 then 4) for long range or soft cover.

Skinks in soft cover would be 6's

Plus 3 times a chance to have it misfire and 1/3 of those it's will go BOOM.

If they bring back the auto-hit then I might agree with you, but for now the Mortar os a better choice for me than the Helblaster.

I stand by my opinion for the Empire's War Machines the Great Cannon is the best, and if including Dogs or War/Regiments of Renown then the Goblin Hewer is the best (D3 hits per rank at S4 and AP).
