I originally started putting together a Khrone army for 40k. It is relatively easy to dedicate an army to one god in the 40k list because you have a few more options, you are working with less points, and all the units deep strike so you don't have to worry about countering shooting.
But then I decided to sell all my 40k stuff and convert the models I had started collecting to a Fantasy army. The fantasy list becomes much harder to dedicate the army to only one god. I want to have a Khorne army because I like the look of the Khorne Daemons the best. I am not a fan of an army of mixed gods because of fluff and because I like my armies to have a more united color scheme.
Now, I could build an army using only Khorne units and furies, however this would probably not be extremely successful. Today, I got a great idea to counter this... there is really no reason I couldn't use any unit in the Daemon book and paint them in Khorne colors. I think this would be easy to justify with fluff, just call the units different names and say they are all khorne demons. Its not as if all the daemons listed in the book are the only daemons that could exist.
I would probably still not take any magic units since Khorne abhors the use of magic.
So my only question is what would people think of this? I imagine I might get some grief having demons painted the "wrong" color and dedicated to the "wrong" god. It seems like changing the god of a daemon is not a place most daemon generals are willing to go.
