Backstory
Uthred served in the Emperors army for ten years. He thought in bloody campaigns against orc's, chaos and sometimes even his fellow humans. He had been made a veteran through it, and he was sometimes suprised that he had survived so long when many of his comrades had died.
It was when he and his company were serving up near Middenheim. They were ambushed by a warband of beastmen, whilist out on a patrol. Like the skilled professionals they were they formed up leveld their Halberds and gave them hell! Their numbers were to great though and after a time, and with many beastmen lying dead, their formation was broken. they didn't flee but fought to the last man. He was that last man.
The beastmen surronded him. Uthred was almost to wery to raise his blood smoothed halberd, but with a final effort he roared a challenge and charged. As this happened, a convey of traveling knights with a priest of Sigmar arrived, and cut down the remaining beastmen.
After months of recovery Uthred became well again. During this time the Priest told him of how Sigmar had saved him. Uthred believed and commited himself to Sigmar. The Priest told him he must go out and serve as Sigmar willed him.
So he left and began his travels of the Empire and beyond, a devote warrior of Sigmar.
