I think I know the answer to this one and it's probably not in favour of the Beasts of Chaos but I thought I'd better check anyway.

Do Centigors benefit from +1 strength attacks when charging into combat because of their spears ? I think I could mount an argument in their favour saying that they should but I suspect they do not.

Also, much less likely in my opinion but here goes... do centogirs benefit ftom +1 armour save for being errr... "mounted" ?

I haven't yet played as Beastmen but it will be my next army come spring 2010 so I'm already clearing the wooded glades of pesky Wood Elves and generally getting ready to grow some horns and dribble a lot while chewing the cud

From page 24 of the Army book "Centigors are mounted on a cavalry base and treated as cavalry in all respects except for the following: They do not get +1 armour save; They may benefit from using two hand weapons or the hand weapon and shield bonus, as if on foot; They use the cavalry rules for spears."

Hope that clarifies.

I have a bad habit of skimming past anything in italics and box outs because they're often irrelevant and I'm always in a rush I will read the Bests Book more carefully in future, it's the first time I have picked it up in a while (I thought I'd better get up to scratch now I'm the mod)
