This morning I was comparing skven magic items to vampire magic items:

it costs 100 points for a frostblade, so its a lord only weapon and all it does is cause instant death.
(now that may seem awesome, I mean you could charge a stegadon, or giant, then kill it with one shot,

but the skaven have a simmilar weapon which I think is better. *ahem* the fellblade is 85 points, so you don't spend all your points on it, e.g I buy an enchanted shield with the points left over.

the fellblade gives you strength 10! over a vampire lords Str 5 (even with the frostblade)

no armour saves from the fellblade (cause of the -7 modifier from str 10)
whereas the you only get -2 from the vamp lords str 5

fellblade: 1 wound is multiplied into D6
frostblade: instant death if you take 1+ wounds.

added effects:

fellblade: weilder must roll a 3+ or lose a wound at the end of each of his turns.
frostblade: none

the scores are:

price: fell
strength: fell
modifiers: fell
damage: frost
effects: frost

well no surprise that the fellblade beat the vampire's frostblade, I mean the skaven did create it to destory Nagash after all.

hey,

just had a look through the lizard book and I found they have a cheaper weapon than the fellblade and its insane!
for every hit, the enemy must pass a LD test or take instant death, this leads me to believe every army has an uber lord only weapon.
can everyone please tell me their armies one? cause I'd love to compare them all

I only need the ones for:
beasts of chaos
bretonnia
dark elves
dwarfs
empire
highelves
daemons
warriors of chaos
ogres
orcs/gobbos
tomb kings
and wood elves

Umm for Dwarves it's.... What guys? I guess you could put certain runes on it that make it:

-Causes D6 Wounds
-No Armour Saves allowed

Right?

do both fell and frost blades ignore ward saves and/or regen ?

For the WoC uber magic lord only magic swordy thing there are 2 options (75 pts each)

The Hellfire sword- Flaming attacks, each unsaved wound causes d3+1 wounds
and
Chaos deamonsword- d3 extra strength and d6 extra attacks to a minimum of 10, however each roll of 1 to hit results in your Lord thumping himself and taking the hit.



The bretonnain Lord only wep is
The silver lance of the blessed(mounted only)- +2 strenght on the charge and if model has blessing of the lady all attacks auto hit
