Rumors brought to the community by Warseer's: Screaming Manti and UberBeast

Lots of interesting chatter this weekend. Lets get right to it folks:

The general info we have been gathering from various sources points to the following armies hitting the shelves this year for Warhammer 40000 and Fantasy:

Skaven (Q3)
Space Wolves (Q4)

The talk from the tubes is that the Skaven may get rolled out officially at Gamesday UK in September, with a slight possibility of some Wolves on display as well.

There is talk of Forgeworld moving forward with more support for Fantasy, and apparently a comment was dropped at Gamesday-Baltimore where they said they were interested in doing complete armies with.....

wait for it....

Chaos Dwarves at the top of their list!

I have heard similiar for this years release schedule and the rumored rerelease of Space Hulk; but I have seen no fixed date for it. Last I read Skaven are Sept and Space Wolves are for Oct. Suprisingly no mention of anything for a Xmas release as of yet.

As for Space Hulk its rumored a fresh Blood Angels, and Tyranids Codex's will be released as a linked event. Only thing I can confirm is the Plastic Trygon. I have seen pics of it.

I have also heard there will be a Legendary Battles release slotted for sometime next year. But I cannot confirm this rumor.

Hmm sometime after Beasts of Chaos I think,who are after Skaven who are being released at almost he same time as Space Wolves (After December sometime I think,don't quote me though.)

Any rumors for dwarves or O&G's?

No I think both will be upgraded around the Start of 8th edition.

Which is when?

O&G and Dwarfs both got a new book right around the time of 7th Edition. I cant remember which came first, but one of the books was released right before the 7th edition rules, and the other was released right after.

Dwarfs first because some of the units in their army book are formed in ranks of four not five.

Dwarfs were a 6th Edition book written with 7th edition in mind and GW have pretty much stated that they wont be re-done until 8th Edition which isnt due until 2011 or so.
