I Son Of Khaine am starting a 40K army, not any 40K army Space Marines(Specifically Raptors).

I'll post some of my thoughts and plans here.

Any Comments?

No offense meant here but the problem with Nids and Necrons to me is there not aesthetically pleasing to me as in I like my forces(even in Fantasy)to be somewhat based around background and there commander(s) of the army.

EDIT after reading my post I realised I didn't clarify what I meant.
Nids and Crons I don't like there Background,And Orks are my #3 choice after Space Marines and Imperial Guard.

I thought about them but collect High Elves in Fantasy so I want to move towards a less finesse army.

Army scheme and Raptors fluff inbound ETA 1:30 hours.

I have a keen eye on IG for a while, and some cool ideas too - just love the whole 'same uniform' idea, so maybe you can stun us with your outfits? That is: if you are into paintinf F**kloads of models ;)

Welcome to the 40k side of things. I'll have to notch one up for the Orks as that is what my main army is (I have a small side force of Daemons).

Space Marines are a good force to break into the game with. They are tough and easy going if you make mistakes although you will probably find that the majority of your opponents are Space Marines too, they seem to get everywhere these days.

That right there is the beauty of living in Montana, not very many people play but they mostly play 40K so I figured I should start up an army, because I don't play a lot my armies are mostly fluff driven, something that tells a story if you will.

I was playing necrons but I sold them because their weren’t fun to paint, so I hardly suggest space marines because there are different colour skims and their pretty strong with the drop pod

I picked the Raptors because they look fairly easy to paint,I like there background and there background is not very fleshed out so I can go any way I want to with them.

PLAYING SPACE MARINE?

*crys out in outrage*

WRRRRYYYY!!!

Eh-hem, sorry. As an Ork and and Imperial Guard Player, I get worked up about people who wishes to start out Space Marine as first army, but are not 12 years old.

Anyways, everything seems very set to go. Ready and done deal.

I can and will help you to my best extent, please feel free to ask anything. Eventhough I don't play SM and don;t have their book, I played plenty agaisnt them... (Need I say, they were all chopped to pieces and are on my trophy rack? But then again, they weren't that old..) Anyways, I can help you out, dude!

Chaplain color scheme looks good, but unless you want him to have a skull helmet, I suggest not taking white helmet. White helmet are generally taken by the Apothecaries.
