Have your say here about how a Khazrak lead Beasts of Chaos army should be used in battle. Include anything relevant, like army composition, setup and deployment and of course your tactical plans.

Overtime, after we have talked it through and come to a reasonable consensus, I'll summarise our findings and add them to a "consensus" tactics page for Beasts of Chaos Special Characters.

Ok so Khazrak is the ambush specialist. so you would want many units in the army to have the ambush rule, Khazrak also increases the Leadership of all warhounds in the army from 5 to 6 (not a huge increase but can make a difference). he also can have units use his leadership of 8 for all ambushing units that appear within 12inches of where he arrives.

so from that you get the idea of a concentrated force turning up at one place where you want to either wipe out a battery of warmachines or some other annoying thing of your opponents.

I myself don't have a Khazrak led army list, but his is 292pts, more then I normally spend on my beastlord, but with those special rules it's not overpriced. don't forget his dark mail armour. Khazrak get +1str for the rest of the game for EVERY spell cast on him or his unit regardless of if its dispelled (that includes your own spells) up to a total strength of 10. so with a couple of bray shamans near him casting buffing or moving spells on him and his unit he'll quickly get up to 10 strength

you'd likely want some fast and hard hitting units, so that means centigors, dragon ogres and minotaurs to get across the table quickly.

getting some units sandwiched between a large combat herd that ambushed in, and minotaurs is going to hurt your opponent.

but that's how i'd play a Khazrak led army.
