Well, sorry to be rude but use your common sense here orcy. But I don't see whats relevent about magic attacks, unless its some special rule. I didn't even know "Magic Attacks" made a point in warhammer, I thought it was only "Magic Weapons".

Magic Weapons count as magical attacks, why is this being questioned.

If it's listed as magical (or for the Dwarfs they put a rune on it) then it's attacks are magical. Are you asking because you are facing ethereals and want to know if they can be harmed. Magical weapons hurt them.

Your dad seems to twist the rules a bit to suit his purpose. Anything magic weapon makes magic attacks. Even if they are on infantry units (a special weapon the makes them have KB eg. grave guard)

OK, I jest re-read the rules on the Green Knight.

He is Ethereal so he cannot be hurt by mundane weapons (Example: swords, arrows, bullets, cannon balls) but can be harmed by Magical Attacks (Examples: Dwarf runic weapons and Warmachines, Daemons, Magic Weapons). If the special rules of a unit say Magical Attacks they can also hurt him.

Plus if he charges into a unit and loses combat he will lose a wound for each point of CR he loses by.

Just point out the rules on page 75 of the Bretonnian army book. Then tell him that the Bretonnians would be dishonoured by his cheating ways. :D

Mind though that infantry weapons with 'a special ability' like KB does NOT automatically make them magical! The desciption of the weapon with the unit entry will need to specifically mention that attacks from these weapons are magical. For instance, the bows on Wood Elf Waywatcher have KB, but definately are not magical attacks!

MIND THOUGH: I am talking about weapons given to UNITS, not CHARACTERS (as they use magic weapons from the Magic Items list! Which are obviously magical!!!)

"my dad has the green knight and he can only be efected by magic attacks and i have lost battles because he wont admit my caractars can kill him"

I"m sorry to post on this but this just irks me so much. I'm so tired of playing against people who bend the rules to their purpose. Of course magic weapons do magic attacks!!

It's bad enough 'etheral' creatures exist in the first place. I mean, those guys used to help just RUIN my orcs when I played against undead.

So, I apologize if my 2 cents wasnt needed. I just wanted to reiterate that you are 100% correct in believing that magic weapons do in fact do magical attacks.

It just reminds of recently constantly arguing with my friend over the fact that if it's not labeled as a Large target in the respected army book, then it's NOT a large target! lol, he thinks anything bigger than a horse is automatically a large target and we have to look up the rules every time we play!

But it's all about having fun and enjoying a wonderful game. I like the idea put forth in the rule book of just rolling a d6 and on a 4+ go with one person's idea. Then look it up at the end of a game. Of course, this is easier said than done. I recently had this same friend call a GW store after reading the rule book and arguing with my brother and then arguing with the GW employee himself for 30 minutes and he still wouldn't concede that he was wrong!

k, I'll shut up now....again, apologies
