Alright guys this is the introductory post to this RPG I've been cooking up recently.Here's a list of rules for creating characters,if you have any questions please pm me.

At this point, a player would have 10 points to place in any attribute they want,and 0-3 on special rules any unused special points are allowed to carry over,regular points are not allowed to carry over.

-Unarmed Combat
-Climbing (Being able to climb faster/longer then characters without this ability
-Disguise (Being able to move among others without being recognized
-Drinking (Being able to drink someone under a table)
-Engineer
-Etiquette (Good Manners)
-Excellent Vision
-First Aid
-Intrigue: This character has a talent for manipulating others.
-Lip Reading
-Lock picking
-Loner (Fights better when no others around)
-Marksman (Fights better with ranged weapons
-Night Vision (Being able to see well in the dark)
-Pick Pocket
-Public Speaking (Being able to speak well to groups of people)
-Scouting (Following trails & finding things)
-Sixth Sense (Sometimes you just KNOW something isn't quite right)
-Stubborn: May use the group leaders Leadership value for Psychology tests
-Stealth:Highly adapt at hiding and sneaking around
-Swimming
-Torture
-Traps
-Heavy Weapon specialist More proficient with heavy weapons then usual troopers
-Trench Fighter Fights better in urban environments including bunker complexes
-Jungle Fighter Fights better in highly forested areas and Jungles.
-Urban warfare This soldier is trained in the art of city fighting
Weapons
Weapons are available based on your rank and specialty the more weapons you take the slower you become.
Only 6 items off this list per soldier,you are assumed to carry enough ammo for three days of intense fighting,every soldier is assumed to carry a bayonet to attach to his rifle or carry in his hand.

-Autopistol specify if high caliber low ammo or low caliber high ammo.

-Shotgun Close range very powerful low penetration
-Lasgun
-Long Las (Sniper Rifle) More accurate Less stealthy Sniper only
-Bolt Action sniper Rifle More powerful smaller ammo capacity Sniper only
-Combat knife
-Combat weapon Axe Sword mace
-Bolt pistol (officers and SGT only)
-Power Weapon (Officer only)
-Bolter (officers and SGT only)
-Plasma pistol (officers only)
-Chainsword (officer and SGT only)
-Frag grenades 1 point buys you 4 grenades
-Krak grenades 1 point buys you four grenades
-Demolition charges (Demolitions expert only) 2 per point
-Melta bombs (Demolitions expert only) 1 per point
Heavy Weapons one per squad
-Heavy Bolter large powerful needs a two man team
-Grenade launcher
-Flamer
-Meltagun short range good against armor
Armor you are assumed to use one of these you already start with helmet/earpiece
No armor -1 point your going in with only your uniform its going to be painful
Flak armor reasonable protection light weight allow for plenty of movement 1 point
Carapace armor slows you down high level of protection 2 points/1 if you carry a heavy weapon
Extras
Any soldier can take 0-2 of these with no disadvantage
Medkit - Bandages, anti-biotic, needle and thread, painkillers, tweezers, magnifying lens, decompression tablets, spare syringes,
mini shovel- a foldable shovel
lighter and lho sticks - a standard zippo lighter in a brass casing,lho stick are basically cigarettes/cigars
camo cloak- a camouflaged sheet that fits over his normal uniform.
binoculars useful for spoting and such
Vox set everyone has in built Vox beads built into helmet specialists(Snipers demo expert SGT CPT CPL)all can speak into theirs regular troops can not only hear orders
The vox set boosts the range of the Voxs also can be used for warning the rest of your squad
Camo paint allows player to apply paint to himself and his weapon
Collapsible Grappling Hook- Helps with climbing
Spool of wire used for traps
Ranks
Captain 0-1
Sgt 1 not required if there is Captain present,otherwise required.
Corporals 0-2
Demolition expert 0-1
Sniper 0-1
Medic 0-1 required
Driver 0-1 required
privates 1-10
Any extra slots will be filled By NPC
Ground Rules
1. NO GOD CHARACTERS you are guardsmen, and that’s all you’ll ever be.
2. No Marine wannabes, fallen, etc.
3. No Psykers, I may allow a Priest or commissar, just pm me the details
4. Take it light,we don’t carry big guns, just what we need.
5. Also, when the time comes let me know if you are going to try something important in the game, as I don’t want some guy killing a governor’s daughter or something.
6. Lastly, be nice and have fun.
7. Your performance is based on your posting try to go for more then "bob shoots enemy" please more like "Holding his breath in Bob lines his enemy in his sights muttering a prayer to emperor he fires at the heretic.
Were going into a heavily fortified Industrial world first keep that in mind while preparing your characters.
I will play out the narration and also either a Captain or Sniper depending or your choices.
