Ok folks. Current rumours suggest that we will not see a new O&G army book until after the new Edition 8 rulebook is released (probably in 2010).

So, my question to you folks... what changes would you like to see in the next army book ?

maybe something that makes them less scared in numbers like skaven
possibly something with high armor
maybe some bigger harder hitting gobbos like the hill gobbos from white dwarf

I think they should see a HUGE increase in the number of units available to them. Goblins are very adaptable, resulting in many different species. It would be neat to see army book options for Forest Goblins (More than just the spider riders at this point), Troglagobs, Hill Goblins, Fire Kobolds, and Red Goblins. For that matter, just a "Suppliment" book to add those things would be welcome!

ive thought about this recently orcs having a save for their skin leaders have armour better then da lads them having some mob rule for surounding theenermy in looking for a fight my friend wants squig catapult and spider chariats

I dont know about the Spider Charior, but I could just immagine the chaos a Squig Launcher would cause! I can see the model now, it would include a large cannon or catapult with a squig wearing goggles and a scarf.

I see gobbos are being a lot more fearsome if they think they're going to give their enemy a good kicking. Maybe they could avoid panic tests if the unit is above a certain size.

Definitely a Night Goblin Assassin, as they are as at least as sneaky than skaven. He would be powered by mushrooms, which you can buy, which give you +Strength, Killing Blow, +Attacks.

One thing I would like to see is the Black Orcs getting slightly better. They are our best of the best of the best of all the other Orcs. Another attack base on there profile would make them the really deadly, and on par with chaos warriors!

Another thing i would like to see is an increase in our magic armor, at this moment it is a tad lacking...

I would actually like to see a major shift; if the Orcs and Goblins live to fight...why do they <i> Fear </i> everything? Make them immune to fear and panic would seem to follow their fluff better and might make up for the rather chaotic nature of having an army that on any given turn will have upwards of 33% not doing what you planned...and even if a "6" on Animosity tables might sometimes be beneficial, a lot of times it isn't. Just sayin'

I agree on the black orcs part, I put up a battle with 10 savage orcs against 10 black orcs, and the savage orcs won 3/3 times with a surprisingly low casualty..
1st round, black orcs gets the charge, they strike (11 attacks.), 4 hits, 1 wound, ward save failed,
savage orcs strikes back (16 attacks), 11 hits 8 wounds. no armor saves allowed (5 strength attacker) in the end there was 0 black orcs standing, and 9 savage orcs.

2nd round. savage orcs gets the charge, kills 5. black orcs strikes back, kills 2, savage orcs kills the rest

3rd black orcs charge.. round pretty much the same as first.. 3 total casualties on savage orcs.. 10 dead black orcs

this is a core unit (savage orcs) versus a special unit (black orcs). and black orcs are said to be the strongest.
it just doesnt feel like its given alot of thought
