Ok, we've seen this on other threads, lets play the game here. Choose your favourite unit and add 1 to it's score and deduct 1 from your least favourite. Generally you're voting for what you think are the most indispensable units and voting against the worst units until there is 1 winner. "There can be... only one !"

Ogre Bulls 10
Ironguts 10
Leadbelchers 10
Maneaters 10
Gorgers 10
Gnoblar Fighters 10
Gnoblar Trappers 10
Gnoblar Scraplauncher 10
Yhetees 10
Slave Giant 10
Ogre Bull Rhinox Riders 10

ok, no one seems to be biting so I'll kick it off with a controversial choice

Ogre Bulls 11
Ironguts 10
Leadbelchers 10
Maneaters 10
Gorgers 10
Gnoblar Fighters 10
Gnoblar Trappers 10
Gnoblar Scraplauncher 10
Yhetees 9
Slave Giant 10
Ogre Bull Rhinox Riders 10

Yhetees -1
Ogre Bulls +1

Yhettes seem to feature in most Ogre Kingdom armies but I'm arguing against them here.

It's all down to their relative toughness. T4 makes them very vulnerable and with 3 wounds a Yhette could be taken down by a single volley from 65points worth of standard missile troops. Also, their leadership of 7 suggests that they won't react to well to losing a mate of theirs to missile fire.

Don't get me wrong, I like their versatility, high movement, terrain ignoring and ice aura is nice but sorry... it's not worth 65 points.

My other target (which always seems to be in an ogre army) is Leadbelchers... why ?!

+1 Leadbelchers
-1 Gnoblar Fighters
Right I may not have everything perfectly correct here as I don't play Ogres, But when I have faced them I saw that Leadbelchers, can be very VERY good, What other unit can put something like 15 shots into a unit and managed to wound with about 13 of them...From what I have seen of Gnoblar Fighters they seem to suck very badly...All you do is charge them, Mince up a rank(This is with HE Spearmen) and then they flee...

@monkeymatt I would say gnoblars are good for adding rank bonuses to your combat, and for helping ogres to flank.

Leadblechers are a bit too unreliable for my liking, they're a one shot wonder. It could all go to plan or it could all fall apart. They are good fun though, like Gorgers !

Isn't anyone playing ? I want another turn :D

There should be a spell in Warhammer allowing you to have 2 turns, one another another.

It could be called "Suspend Enemy Army in Time" :D

Actually that's just given me an idea, I'm off to the Warhammer Battle chat thread...

Aha, looks like we have a leadbelcher battle on our hands :D

I thought you liked the scraplauncher Padre, it seems to do the trick in your battles ? Do you think it costs too many points ?

It did appallingly in the last game (the 4,000 one) killing itself and two Ogres in turn one. Ok, I wasn't in command of it, but I have no magical control of the dice so the same thing would have happened to me. Being a fickle sort of fellow, I (temporarily) now don't like it.

Oh, and the real reason - I wanted to put Leadbelchers up and was very stuck as to what to take a point from.
