well as its the last few days I'm going to be using my (soon to be old) skaven army book.

so I decided to have one last battle using my warlord clan, (when the new book comes I shall beigin a eshin assassin clan)
the theme for this battle was from the book, basically its the story near the end about greyseer arqueek fighting the dwarfs.

but unfortunately no dwarf players wanted to vs skaven (I guess they already knew how the story ended) fortunately lizardman friend said he'd vs me. so we changed the fluff. [i]once arqueeks forces had finished the dwarfs off they entered the halls that the dwarfs were guarding and..... it was full of lizards :D so arqueek decided he would kill the lizards for no apperent reason. except for the fact he hated them [i] I plan to use all the units described in the story including, the eager plague monks, the backfiring ratling gun, and the cowardly gutter runners.

My list

Arqueek, Grey Seer
Mage lvl. 4, four warpstone tokens, Twisted Crown of the Horned Rat, Warpstone Amulet, Warpstone Charm

assassin
Poison, Scout, Extra Hand Weapon, Throwing Stars, Smoke Bombs, Brass Orb
(I know the orbs, not in the story but its my best bet at killing the saurus).

Warlock Engineer
Mage level 1, Warpstone Token, Warp-Blades, Upgraded Warp-Energy Condenser, Supercharged Warp-Power Accumulator, Eye of the Horned Rat, Storm Daemon

Plague Lord
Frensy, Extra Hand Weapon, Blade of Corruption

CORE

20x Clanrats
Light Armour, Shield, Spear

20x Clanrats
Light Armour, Shield, Spear

20x Clanrats
Light Armour, Shield, Spear

20x Clanrat Slaves

20x Clanrat Slaves

20x Stormvermin
Halberd, heavy armour, Shield, Ratling Gun Team, Musician, Standard Bearer, Fangleader, Umbranner

SPECIAL

20x Plague Monks
Frenzy, Extra Hand Weapon, Musician, Standard Bearer, Plague Deacon, Banner of Burning Hatred

3x Rat Ogres
Causes Fear

8x Gutter Runners
Scouts, Skirmisher, Extra Hand Weapon, Poisoned Throwing Stars, Poisoned Hand Weapons, Tunneling Team

total: 1991,

the lizards had
Slann Mage-Priest
Large Target, Focus of Mystery, Trancendent Healing, Higher State of Consciousness

Chakax
Key to the chamber of eternity

20 Temple Guard
Stubborn, Scaly Skin, Halberd, Shield, light Armour, Revered Guardian, Musician, Standard Bearer

15 Saurus Warriors
Scaly Skin, Shield, Spear, Spawning Champion, Musician, Standard Bearer

12 Skink Skirmishers
Blowpipe, Aquatic, Skirmishers

12 Skink Skirmishers
Blowpipe, Aquatic, Skirmishers

Skink Chief
Aquatic, Ancient Stegadon, Stegadon Warspear

5x Saurus Cavalry
Spear, Scaly Skin, Shield, Stupidity

around 2000 he said.

my plan soon was

kill the cavalry quick, as they'd do some damage pretty quick and they'd get to my lines fast.

skitter leap then brass orb the temple guard, hahaha Initiative 1 (plus if it backfires my assassin only dies on a 6)

plague monks to soften the saurus then i'd finish em with warp lightning

clanrats would take on the skinks

that left the stegadon
I planned to scout the gutter's rather than tunnel. then they'd let loose poison weapons

his plan: was obviously charge charge, blowpipes magic magic magic and stomp stomp stomp.

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH I just pent over an hour typing the report and my bloody laptop died on me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

but heres the lowdown..................

skaven went first.... skitterleaped assassin behind slann

cast frenzy on monks

warp lightning killed half the saurus

plague on gutter runners 6 die, passed to stegadon, all skinks die chief took a wound, passed to skink skirmishers, killed 9, passed to slann, chakkax took a wound 3 temple guard died, slann passed. passed to assassin who made his T test. spell ended

poison throwing stars killed the chief making the stegadon stupid.

brass orb sucked 9 temple guard into the warp along with the slann and chakkax. ( always take a brass orb vs a slann)

end of my first turn.

lizards stegadon stood stupidly skinks shot assassin with poisoned darts killing him. other skinks failed morale and ran off the board.

cavalry ran towards arqueek, so did saurus and remaining guard.

my turn 2, plague monks charged saurus cavalry,

vermintide+ warplightning killed the last of the saurus death frenzy on clanrats.

the monks attacked the saurus with 16 attacks killed 1 plague priests 5 attacks all hit and wounded 4 died, the last one killed 1 monk, failed morale and was overrun.

lizards turn 2 stegadon failed stupidity skinks and guards moved towards arqueek again.

turn 3 skaven, warp lightning finished the guard and vermin tide killed the skinks.

the monk charged the stegadon and managed to cause 3 wounds. then the priest finished it and its was game over!!!

MASSACRE FOR THE SKAVEN!!!!!

good thing too because it's the last battle I'm playing with the old rule book.

"brass orb sucked 9 temple guard into the warp along with the slann and chakkax." - Ouch, that must have been painful !!!

"lizards turn 2 stegadon failed stupidity" - I didn't think Stegs were subject to Stupidity ?!

That would be a monster reaction test. That's way different from stupidity, but no harsh feelings! We all make mistakes! :D
