Yep, I've decided to begin collecting the miniatures, Ill post pics of the new minis as I get them and also as I paint them. I will also update the naut1 blog with more suitable miniatures / suppliers as I find them.

I'll probably get some of the more difficult to source miniatures first like the crabs and a giant octopus, I'm starting to get all weak kneed and excited about it now :D

Well I've just received my new "Nautican" Dark Heaven miniatures and I've really, really excited now :D

They're excellent minis. I'm going to choose one and post a pic in the July painting competition thread.

Actualy, I'll be posting pics of all the miniatures on the Nautican blog, maybe the Design Notes site, maybe both !

Zharc is a lot bigger than I realised ! I might have to change his stats :) to make them more representative of the model - he's about Kroxigor size with an excellent tail and shark head.

I haven't got Goloroth out of the packet yet (he's my Leviathan) because I'm at work but he also looks pretty imposing in size.

I can't wiat to get to work on them, it will be the first time I have raised my paint brush in anger for several years !

The female Sirens and Mermaids are all excellent models aswell, very lithe (and sexy !).

I've got no one to talk about it at work so here I am, sharing my excitement. I feel like the project is really going places now and hopefully, this will spur me on to get the pdf onine this weekend.

Here are the miniatures I just received. I'll post some better pics as I open the packs.

The mermaid and siren are a little smaller than GW minis, probably 25mm as opposed to 28mm. The others are all normal GW sizes, Zharc is about Kroxigor size and I love him !

My Nautican miniature collection so far

I'm sure the Gods of the Sea will speed your Nauticans down under ;)

Zharc is a great mini, the crabs are a bit smaller than I'd hoped for but they're still big enough.

Here's the best news.... dims has agreed to paint one or more for the army book pics :) This forum is full of great people !
