With probably the new Lizards making the top 4.

The 5th spot I think is debatable, depending on build. For example a 2 steam tank empire build or a dwarf gunline.

I am sorely disappointed by the Lizardmen. They really, really weakened them with the new book. Their Saurus do not stand a chance against the good enemy block units, their magic is easily blocked by even woefully underpriced, over-powered borderline broken stuff like the DE Rink og Hotek, and the Kroxigor are simply not worth taking as core units because skinks are just casualties in CC. Meanwhile, if memory serves, taking them without skinks means you lose a Stegadon type unit, one that is actually the best army unit for them it appears. At least out here.

Vamp: these guys really suck, never seen them win a game,

Orges: Not too bad if you can play them, but some match-ups (magic heavy lists) are really bad for them.

why is TK so low on your list? they are awesome! immune to psyke! it came from below! the best anti war machine unit. The best magic offense! arrows always hit on 5+!

Tomb Kings are the slowest army in the game. Yes, the slowest...slower than the Dwarfs. They move 4" per turn...BUT CAN NEVER MARCH. This means their "Fast Cavalry" units get none of the benefits..but all the detriments. The Dwarf army can move 6" per turn as opposed to the 4" the Tomb King bulk will drift.

Their line troops are weak at best and overpriced at worst. they can resurrect, yes...but cannot grow or create new units like the VC do.

So their advantages are short-range weapons with low S hitting 33% of the time and relying on the opponent having little magical defense.

Meanwhile, they are easy to outaneuver, easy to kill in close combat, and not all that hard to outnumber.

All in all, those disadvantages heavily outweigh their rather slender advantages and give them a very, very small margin for error.
