Warhammer Fantasy Battle Reporter Forum

Hi Folks,

I'm going to be creating a new video advert for the forum and blogs to try to raise awareness of our community and hopefully gain a few more forum members.

The advert will be shown on other relevevant Warhammer Fantasy Battle websites which accept google video adverts (places like BelloflostSouls, Warseer, DakkaDakka, Heresy, infact all the big forums !)

I'm inviting anyone who wants to join in the fun to submit their own video for the battlereporter forum (all videos used will earn you +5 karma)

You will need to be able to email me the video (up to 25meg) or, if it's larger than that save it somewhere online where I can download it (I actually need the source file to upload to Google Adwords).


The Idea
----------------

Make a super cool video that can be used to promote the forum. I'm thinking about adding some page snap shots, a summary of what's on the forum, some miniature pics, a nice background soundtrack or maybe lots of .wav battle noises !, mentions of the battle reports hub, konrads army builder, the rpg thread and the Nauticans and things like that.



How to do it, for Windows users
-----------------------------------------

I'll be using Windows Moviemaker which I used for the Battle Royale videos (whbr1.blogspot.com)

It comes with Windows XP Service Pack 2 so if you have automatic updates switched on you should aloready have it on your pc (unless you're using a Mac)

Google's Conditions for the advert
---------------------------------------------

File size should not exceed 75 MB and should be in AVI, ASF, FLV, MPEG, QuickTime or Windows Media format. We recommend using the highest quality source and a 4:3 aspect ratio.


The fun bit !

Making the videos is always great fun in my opinion but additionally, I can monitor which adverts get clicked on the most so we can see who's is the most popular

I'll also post all the videos submitted on the forum for everyone to vote on the best. Any video used in an advert will earn the "director/producer" +5 karma !

I might give this a shot,don't be gutted if I A.*beep* it up or B.It turns out so f'cked up that small children flee in terror while a huge horde of Chaos moves forward,the lamentations of there goats following the villagers.

I got it, thanks SoK, I like it - good stuff.

I'm working on mine right now so when it's done I'll load them onto the google ad site together and rotate them so each will be seen evenly.

Then we'll see who gets the most clicks

The 2 adverts we have so far are now on my blog and on Google Adwords (although they haven't been shown yet)

Great work guys. I like the music you chose sigmar, only thing I would add is when you have the text coming towards the viewer to make it a more visible colour instead of yellow.

Sigmar I resent you mine with music,loud music.
