A small rule's question:

With the universal special rule chaos have to re-roll break tests does this allow you to effictivly re roll the result 3 times if the BSB in range?

(if this question makes no sence dont worry(only asking as my freind says you cant re-roll re-rolls))

Thanks

I was going to say No Way because I seem to remember a rule saying you couldn't re-roll dice that have been re-rolled. Unfortunately I am unable to find the rule in the 7th Edition rulebook. The closest I found was in Spellcasting saying that a wizard that can re-roll a dice cannot re-roll that dice again for that spell.

So I decided to read the rule from the Warriors of Chaos book.

Units with the Will of Chaos special rule always get to re-roll failed panic tests.

Now Panic Tests are the following:
25% casualties during Shooting or Magic Phases.
Friendly unit destroyed within 6 Inches.
Friends break from Close Combat within 6 inches.
Fleeing friendly models moving through a unit.

Notice that break tests from combat are not included in that list.

So no you cannot re-roll a break test from Close Combat unless you have a BSB nearby and no way will you get to re-roll a re-roll because Will of Chaos doesn't cover break tests.

I hope that helps you.

Bilbo, I'm pretty sure you're right. I dont have my rulebook with me but I'm pretty certain you can NEVER re-roll an re-rolled dice.

Let me be the one to DEFINATELY tell you that you cannot re-roll a re-roll! Never. It's in the book. Really.

Actually, the WoC FAQ introduced the only re-roll of a re-roll and that's on the Eye of the Gods chart. But it's the exception that proves the rule! :D

Dude what are you on about, there is no universal rule that says Chaos must re-roll break tests.

But even if there was, you can never re-roll a re-roll.

My mistake its panic tests they re-roll due to every unit having "the will of chaos".

every unit has it apart from spawn, hellcannon, dragon ogre shaggoth and the giant
