maybe something that makes them less scared in numbers like skaven
possibly something with high armor
maybe some bigger harder hitting gobbos like the hill gobbos from white dwarf

I see gobbos are being a lot more fearsome if they think they're going to give their enemy a good kicking. Maybe they could avoid panic tests if the unit is above a certain size.

but I thought the rules said:

All Goblins dislike fighting Elves of any kind because they 'stink funny' and because their haughty manner unnerves the little greenskins. Goblins therefore Fear any unit of Elves whose unit strength they do not outnumber by at least two to one. Counts any Orcs, Squigs or anything else in the unit as well as the Gobbos.

Doesn't that mean as long as they out number them minimum two to one that they don't Fear Elves?or is this rule a new addition to the Goblins?

Jacen, I think they're talking about any race not just Elves.

that makes sense but I didn't notice anything about Goblin's fearing anything but elves.

I'm also pretty sure they meant a combat res bonus of more than +1 if they outnumber the enemy [add number here]:1

i know its an old thread, but...
i would have to completely agree with the squig launcher. sending a gobbo with wings is crazy enough, but sending a big ball of teeth and anger at someone would be awesome to see...a hit by a flying squig should cause either terror or fear at least
also the army book is sadly lacking in magic armour, as said before...i've had my Warboss hack apart 4-5 heavily armoured knights, only to be killed by 5 empire spearmen thanks to a 5 (light armour and shield) save...

I agree with WoodsBallsRoks. We have none of the staple GW armor; No 2+ Armor Save, no ward save giving armor, though we do have additional stats and why are u hitting yourself armor.
