I have an idea and need some opinions...

I was thinking of doing a vide battle where the forum users get to choose what happens next.

How could I run such a game ?

I was thinking of either...

choosing a couple of people to play or, the 1st person who posts the next ("sensible") move gets to go next.

To simplify things I'll keep the points value down to say 1000 per side and the forum users can choose the armies.

I'm still giving it some thought but could use some ideas from you people.

hi Kris, as we're the only two here right now, how about this...

We'll put up a poll vote on my blog to find out which armies we should fight first (let's keep it low in points - I need my table space !)

You can be the first commander and we'll pick "one other" (to be decided).

once we have 2 commanders then you choose and your enemy chooses forces from the armies which were voted for in the polls and then, somehow (!)

I run the battle and take the pictures.

I'm in just make sure to e-mail me because I have midterms right now, so i might forget.
I'm totally inexperienced but I would love to take a shot at it.
Since you have an empire army, we could use that Sigmar, I want to start collecting Empire, when I start a warhammer fantasy army.

But if you want to make it forum wide then it would probably be best to have a post where the next post determines the next move.

Is there a way that you can edit a user's settings so that it would be visible to others whether they are one side or another.

You could have a sign up list and split everyone into two teams and then depending on the poll votes, the highest two armies battle and each team gets to choose one team, by a coin flip.
Then you have a section of the forum where the team posts their move.
It might get a little out of hand though.
