GW's line is rather limited, I was wondering if anyone's tried to convert models from male to female?(human, mostly for Empire)
I tried it, the first attempt hasn't gone so well, but it's an ongoing process.
my second attempt was a bit more successful. I used some female DE models, shaved the spikes and pointy thing and added High Elf bits to make and Empire wizard. the fact that their thin and slender with almost no armor is perfect.

If you are willing to use non GW models, Reaper Miniatures has a lot of really nice female models that might work.

There are some older Wood Elf female models that would probably work. The Spellsinger would make a decent wizard. And the Waywatchers would work really well for a unit of Archers. Hopefully that will help at least a little bit.

Here are a couple of pics:

I'm sure there are others, but those are all I can think of at the moment.

yup, I know there are a few GW females, the Dark Elf have the Witch Elf's that if you cut off one of the swords and add a shield they'd be Swords woman. all three Elf's have female spell singer/wizards that would work, the Berts have the Damsels. 40k even has some models that would/do work( I converted a Seraphim... {sorry I don't know the proper spelling} in to an Empire captain/general. mostly I'm trying to save money/ make more original models.

I've used the plastic Daemonettes for my Marauders of Slaanesh - just file off the pointy ears and such and it's pretty much good. Other than that, I can't think of any other models, sadly.

One unit I would like them to bring back is the High Elf Maiden Guard

Still a few guys who use them if you drop by the Ulthuan forums there are a lot of posts of really nice looking Maiden guard units that people swap in for Swordmasters etc so they can continue to field them
