Citadel Warhammer Basing Kit

I looked at getting this awhile ago, but my GW staff person said it was mostly 40K stuff.
but after coming a cross a few articles on the GW site, about modeling that use this kit. I looked at it and it looks different then they painted it out to be.
anyone use or used the Citadel Warhammer Basing Kit?
is it useful?

I'm thinking pretty hard about picking up the kit myself. But I havent done so yet. There is a 40K kit and a Fantasy kit

I think there are two versions now: one for 40k, and one recently released for Fantasy. I haven't used it but am tempted to pick it up as well.

Make your important units stand out on the battlefield with the Citadel Warhammer Basing Kit.

This box set contains: two tubs of slate(medium and large bits), two tubs of resin details, one spare tub and one frame of brass leaves.

I've been wanting to try adding things to the bases like larger rocks and what not for awhile.
I have a large tub of small multie sized stones and a small tub of fine stones and a small tub static grass(small tubs from the Hobby Starter Set.) and I like the effect the small multie sized stones have on the basses.
when it comes to converting a model I can come up with ideas till the cows come home, but sadly when it comes to the bases I'm a little lacking. the most I've done to a base was take a spru piece stand it vertical add two flat pieces of plastic on ether side to make an old style sign post. and I only did that cause I saw it online.... a GW article I think, and cause I think the clear plastic base & shaft for the Fell Bats is weak.

If you want stones just grab slate off the side of the road comes in reasonable range of sizes and is free

But you always look wierd picking up dirt off the road. I live on a street, off a street, which is off of a major Michigan Highway (M-15) and I've had many strange looks as I'm sweeping up large rocks with a dustpan. Haven't used the large rocks yet, but plan on doing so soon. Like Kiwi said, they are free but be ready to attract some attention!
