I like Khorne the best, with more attacks and cool models they are pretty good.

The thing is that all Daemons have their strengths and weaknesses. Want to frustrate your opponent chuck a load of Heralded Plaguebearers at him, You can grind away trying to cause wounds but chances are they are going to lose very few models before hitting combat. Slaanes may be frail but they are going to be on you in a flash (I love the imagery of Slaanesh, always been my favourite if I'm honest). A Keeper of Secrets doesn't have flight but with a 20" charge move and a statline not that far off a Thirster they provide a cheaper alternative for giving your opponent a good kicking. Want to take magic, Tzeentch is the go to guy. The only thing that is really a little poor is the rank and file Khorne. Sure they have killing blow but are T3 with 1 attack. They are useful as counter chargers especially against heavy cavalry where denying an armour save should give your opponent pause to go into them. Flesh Hounds are obscene though.

I think nurgle makes a solid backbone for the army. More resilient and dependable. It really depends on what you want to do with your army and how you like playing the game.

For example, some people hate taking casualties while others don't care how many they lose providing they win the battle. Others like a measured low risk approach while some like to dive in feet first and risk everything.

I have a bit of a non-rules related problem with Nurgle and that is, I'm not that keen on the models. Not the individual models but the way the army looks on the tabletop. I prefer the vibrant tzeentch / slaanesh colours and blood red daemons.

I guess you could always paint a more colourful, stand-out nurgle army but I'm not sure it woudl look quite right.

The biggest problem with Daemons overall is that there are no models for the Heralds, BSB or otherwise and half of our core units are still expensive metal models. Both Horrors and Plaguebearers would be better if we got a second wave release of plastic for them, I don't know of any other army that when it got updated finished with a load of core models being metal (OK there are eternal guard but Glade Guard and riders are all plastic).

I voted for Tzeentch, purely because they are just awesome. And Pink Horrors cackling madly as they charge into battle, what more do you want? :P

I've seen someone use converted Brettonian Men at Arms as Plaguebearers. They were awesome and looked much better than the actaul Plaguebearer models.
