Fanatics all the way for me. You can't beat them and they seriously impact your enemy's plans (even if they don't do a lot of damage sometimes).
Most of all they're good for holding up enemy cavalry, the horses just don't fancy going anywhere near a unit of gobbos that smells of fanatics and who can blame them ?!  _________________ http://battlereporter.blogspot.com

Spider Riders, when used effectively, can be very, very nasty.
As a note to point out, fast calvary are in my opinion the hardest units in the entire game of warhammer to use at all, since they don't follow the standard warhammer style. The benefit of being able to move through ANY terrain without penalty makes the spider riders potential extremely good, but since they are calvary AND goblins they tend to die quickly, so you must use the terrain to your advantage (and other units too!)
I just this year figured out how to effectively use fast calvary, and before that I didn't think they were worth the points. Now I don't leave home without at least 2 units of them.

I agree with scurrdi about spider riders and their ability to move through terrain. It comes as quite a shock when they disappear into and come out the other side of a wood in a single turn.

So far in this list, spear chukka is only long range unit, and i have learned from playing 40K, when you have only close combat units that can't move very fast or much, it is annoying. Well, that and i hate snotling and think they're weak.

The spear chucka is not the only long range unit available to the O&G, its just the only one listed there. The O&G have some pretty nifty artillery available to them (Rock Lobbas and doom divers come to mind) which can be pretty effective when used properly.
