I'll be ordering an Octopus, some Octobipods (probably 5) and 3 Weresharks this weekend. Once I have them in my possession, I'll post pcs on the design notes site and include details of the suppliers I used.

I might also get some Komodons and Slithe Raiders, although I'm waiting for an email from armorcast and reapermini.com respectively to confirm their base sizes before I purchase.

Nautican Design Notes site:-

naut2.blogspot.com
(paste link into your browser)

PS. I have all nearly finished the list of available miniatures that I have found on the army list site:- naut1.blogspot.com (they're on the front page at the moment although I might move them to their own page).

I'm struggling a bit to find decent deep divers (which look different to the Coral Hunters / Crest Riders - which I'm propsing to use GW skink models for)

I think Tide Watchers could be more of a problem thoguh, I need miniatures holding nets !

np, I like aquatics, so this is pretty cool. I'll keep my eye's open for other things like the Elementals and what not.

I was thinking about it. Do you want some swamn? Like crabs and toxic fish?

Hi STEAM. I did consider some floating jellyfish swarms. I opted for a Giant Man o' War jellyfish for a while but it took a bit of criticism so I removed it.

Thanks for the suggestion though, I'll certainly bear it in mind for future drafts. I have to make some changes at some point because I've detected from "imbalances"

Thanks again,
Sigmar

Go for it orcy. I'd be delighted to include any scults on the Design Notes site as Nautican model ideas. I could really use some good sandgangers if you fancy giving them a shot.

I was planning to try some crypt ghouls caked in sand to hide some of their sharp bits and their definition leaving just a rough outline of the models.

Also, I need to work out how to mount some Crest Riders on a base which looks like a wave (for their breaking wave charge rule)

Any sculpts you come up with will get posted on the design notes site (naut2.blogspot.com) so feel free to choose to sculpt whatever you like.

How about the people holding a little canteen type thing to "bend" the water out of to make a wave.

Hi STEAM, I have a couple of mermaids and a couple of Sirens. There is a King of Seas too but no queen. I decided to keep them as magic users.

Having said that, it's a good idea. An uber mermaid magic user. I'll have to have to chat about it with my fellow playtester. Thanks for the idea.

I'm still changing it !

It has become a bit of a labour of love. I'm trying not to treat it as a project because it will jsut seem like a pain in the @ss then. Instead, I'm just doing it when I feel like it, which is much more agreeable but also a lot slower.

Sorry for the wait. I have some new bitz and pieces to report on the design notes site.

Kiwi,

What with the new arrival - you don't have time for a new army :D
