Has anyone played against the new Daemons yet ? If so, how did it turn out and did you get any tips on how to beat them ?

From going through the Armies book on numerous occasions the best way I think they can be taken is the classic static combat res. The army is going to be small due to the high points cost of the daemons and therefore combining charges to grab a flank or even a rear charge is going to put a damper on their day. This is probably easier said than done in practice but I am convinced this is the way to due it. They are unbreakable but will crumble exponentially once you gang up on them. Also, unless they take a Tzeentch army they tend to be light on the magic defenses unless they spend a ridiculous amount of points tooling up Greater Daemons and Heralds. I haven't fought them so haven't put these tactics into practice but this is my Theoryhammer working.

I have played them a few times and most players will have a good amount of magic and at least one big guy. They will more than likely have a herald with a nasty banner as well. Getting in combat and flanking is one thing but not easy to do. One should also have long range weapons and shoot them as they advance, Screamers can be very nasty when they fly over you and cause damage just for that, shoot them down early. I have played tzeetch with a lord of change and lost but still managed to leave with dignity by taking down a herald on a chariot as well as screamers and some horrors, I have also played a combo army of tzeetch and Khorne with a bloodthirster that simply kicked my butt. One was with dwarfs and the other was with high elves. The daemons are a very strong army when being played by an experienced general but I know one day I will beat them. Smile
