The Moot

A lot of players build an Empire army around a single province. Has anyone ever built an army around the Moot? I think it would be fun to build a halfling army. I know of the Fighting Cocks and the Halfling Hot Pot, but are there any other Halfling models?

There have been a few atempts at fan made Halfling Army Lists. I even made two Regiments of Renowns and Hero Characters for the Halflings myself. (they might show up in a future issue of The Doom Seeker).

GW even had Halfling Steam Tank rules in an issue of White Dwarf a few years ago.

Thats the kind of thing I've been looking at today. There are actually some OOP models, but it would be a really big project to find enough of them to make a Halfling army. Maybe there are some cheaper alternative models out there somewhere?

Any chance you know the issue number for the White Dwarf article?

I'll have to take a look around for the Halfling army lists. They would proabably be a fun read.

I found this blog about some Halflings.
http://leadpeople.blogspot.com/2009/05/goblin-factory-sneak-peaa.html
it's a sneak peak at a groups upcoming release of Halfling models, it's well worth the look.

http://paizo.com/store/byCompany/m/megaMiniatures/fantasyMultipacks

this place sells multiple models for a cheaper price, they have some halflings.
not really fighting models but there are a couple models that look like they could be solders or command.

after looking through varies things I've come a cross mentions of an Elector Count not mentioned in the current Empire Army Book.... Well he's listed but just as an Elector Count. Hisme Stoutheart is listed as the the Elector Count of The Moot, but I've seen him listed as The Elder of the Moot.
so I guess he's, Elector Count Hisme Stoutheart, Elder of the Moot
just thought I should mention it.

A freind of mine haas created an all halfling army that "Counts As" a goblin army. He has halflings mounted on sheep (wolf riders), spearmen and archers plus the hotpot of course. Of course the animostiy rule doesn't fit perfectly but it still is fun alternative.

I found this, it's about Halfling deities.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Halfling_deities

some of the sound interesting.
