Folks, if you want to enter the painting competition then please post photos of your unpainted or undercoated entries in this thread. Please post them by Sunday 3rd Jan 2010.

Please make sure there is a hand written note (saying something like "battlereporter forum painting comp #2") next to your photo so we all know you started off with an unpainted mini for this competition.

The rules & Prizes...

1) We'll have 1 category but all entries should be Fantasy Battle related.
2) You can make 2 entries which can be anything, eg. single mini, unit, terrain, diorama etc
3) Only one of your entries can win a prize so, if you're voted both 1st and 2nd best then you only win the prize for 1st place and the 3rd placed entry wins second best etc.
4) All entries get +2 rep (so if you enter 2 you get 4 rep), even if you win a prize aswell.
5) Deadline for posting painted entries*... Sunday 10th Jan 2010

* There will be a new thread set up for your final painted entries so please do not post your painted miniatures in this thread.


The prizes....

1st prize +10 rep (and a best painter avatar, like the Hammerer of the month but a different pic and their painted miniature in the painting competition forum thread until the next competition)

2nd prize +7 rep
3rd prize +5 rep
4th prize +3 rep
5th prize +2 rep
6th prize +1 rep

I'll try to get my entires up this weekend. I'm going to enter a pair of Slayer Doomseekers and a Forest Goblin Dragonfly Rider.

I shall be entering a unit of Chaos Warriors and an Exalted Hero BSB. They're the next items on my painting list and so it makes sense to have the extra motivation to paint them for the competition. The entry pics aren't brilliant but you get the idea that they're unpainted (and in the case of the BSB unbuilt still!)

Okay in case it's not, here is a quick pic before I start painting!

Here are my entries both candidates for my VC armies BSB - the first is the typical Wight King BSB, the second an alternate miniature from Reaper Minis.

Keep those entries coming in guys, it looks like we have 11 or 12 so far.

remember you get +2 rep for each entry and you can enter 2 miniatures/units/dioramas etc so +4 rep just for painting minis you need to paint anyway !

Also, there six prizes:-

1st prize +10 rep (plus other stuff, see 1st post)
2nd prize +7 rep
3rd prize +5 rep
4th prize +3 rep
5th prize +2 rep
6th prize +1 rep

So loads of rep to be won and a good chance of winning it !
