I am looking forward to the new Dark Elves. Right now I have put the Dwarfs aside and I'm playing with the New High Elves. But Come August I will be all over those new mini's to add to my existing army. I like the overall look of the dark elves compared to the high elves and I think a great battle is awaiting between the two. I will be putting my High Elves to work this weekend with a 4 game tournament. It will be the first since I started collecting them for the second time. Hopefully I place in the top 20.
Perhaps the dice will play along.
Cheers

Good luck in the tournament!

Oh, and the new dark elf models look very impressive. I'm hoping that they get some new nice additions for the rules to help make them more competitive because at this point they are much harder to play with then some of the other armies.

Hey Sigmar
Got very busy for a while and forgot about this forum but now that Ive got a few posts going I hope to keep on with it. As for Dark Elves, I believe I have enough to make a good 2500 or more army. I used to play them quite often but with all the new codex's coming out I was ready for a change. I am looking forward to the new codex and minitures though because i really like the background of this army. It reeks of evil and all kinds of nastyness. And the witch elves add a very seductive tone to th army as well. Makes for good gaming. The tournament went fairly well as I placed 7th out of 29 which is my best go ever. Looking forward to the next one. Hope to post more often on the forum's now. Hopefully I can add to what is already a great forum. love that blog site of yours as well.
Cheers
Smile

Well done in the tournament Luckless Diceman. 7th is a good result. What sort of opposition did you come up against ?

Our of interest were there many Vampire and High Elf armies there ?

Thanks for the praise about my blog. I'll be making a BIG annoucement soon about a new race I have designed.

Let me see if I remember right my first opponent was Ogres, then I played wood elves, followed by high elves and last bt not least dark elves where I got my butt handed to me by a very experienced player. It was all good. I believe there were 2 Vampire armies and a couple of tomb kings as well. There wer also 2 or 3 Daemon armies. All in all it was a well rounded out tourney and the next one is in October so I hope to get to it as well. I think there were 3 high elf armies for sure maybe 4 but I can't remember. Smile
