I was gone for a few weeks. I went to New Mexico for my Archaeology field school. It was a short field school only being two weeks long. The standard field school length is 5-8 weeks long. Fun stuff. Smile

That sounds like an awsome experience. I used to drive through New Mexico quite a bit. I used to live in Colorado Springs and drove to Oklahoma City to visit family all the time.

I really like that part of the country. I very much enjoyed wandering around Santa Fe. I love how the architecture of the city looks. Very cool place.

Hi Guys,

I just happened upon your forums and thought it looked like it could be an interesting place to hang out.

I've just ordered a copy of the Warhammer rules, a wood elf battalion and a load of paints. I'm looking forward to playing a few games in the Nottingham, UK area if any of you live near warhammer world? Smile

Hi Torx, welcome to the forum and welcome to the hobby.

I've never been to Warhammer World, what's it like ? I guess you can always get a game there ?

Feel free to open new threads and reply to any discussions that interest you.

All the best,
Sigmar

I've only ever been to Warhammer World once and don't actually have my figures yet, they are in the post.

I played a demo game of Warhammer with a staff member which convinced me to order the game, so you could say I've played a game there everytime I've been Smile

I was impressed with the venue and there were more people playing there than I would have imagined on a sunny summer's Sunday. Everyone seemed to be playing games so I envisage that it's pretty easy to turn up and get a game Smile

Welcome to the hobby Torx. It is always nice to add one more to the fold. Congrats on your purchases and best of luck to you getting those little guys painted up and winning battles for you on the table.

Smile Hello all,

Allow me to introduce myself... I am the minor daemon called Dungeon_Lawyer Twisted Evil . IN your feeble and halting tongue I am called err Dungeon_Lawyer: Basically my job amongst the pantheon of the chaos gods is to familiarize myself with every 40k codex and WFB army book and find ways to cheese opponites with buffed up "hero hammered" characters and unit combinations, thus sucking all the fun out of tabletop gaming. I also enjoy creating ridiculously uber-sucky army lists that are no fun to play against (the chaos knights, bloodletters, dragons orge army led by a bloodthirster with a bray shaman, or the S.A.D. skaven list, or the master of skulls surrounded by hounds that quickly turn to chaos spawn- yup all me!) whilst challenging every measurement and dice roll or rule interpretation that is not explicit in the rulebooks. I thrive and am most powerful in the grey areas of the rules.

I still cannot take material form in your world but I have many worshippers in your plane of existence whom do my bidding --Surely you ALL must know at least one of my acolytes! ALL HAIL

Hey guys

Im from Baton Rouge La, just moved here from Atlanta GA. The gaming is no where near as good in LA as GA, but oh well have to move where job takes me. Ive been playing about a year. I still consider my self a newb. I have been playing board games since i was 12 (12 yrs ago lol) starting with Axis and Allies and Heroclix and Heroquest and quite a few others. I just love board games, what can i say. ive always stayed away from warhammer bc i dont have an artisctic bone in my body and the thought of painting totally scared me. Well i am a huge dwarf fan so i bought about 2.5k pts of dwarves and have about 1.5k fully painted. Work and life have kept me a little too busy, but here in LA ive been able to paint a little more so hopefully i will be done in about 3 months. Now my painting is no where near amazing, but its a decent table top standard. i dont ink or highlight. I dont have the skill or time. Im starting getting some orcs ang goblins pieces off ebay when theyre cheap. well see where that goes in the future.

I just wanted to say hello all.
