I'm not going to post too much about this because I'm not very happy with it or anything else. It's really put a damper on my mood to playing and mainly because I have lost several games in a row, which is just frustrating.
Myself and a wood elf player brought 1000 points each with some restrictions on magic allotment (for a low fantasy feel) and we went up against 2 beastmen players.
I brought all Kislev with 3 units of horse archers, a large unit of grypon legion with hero, and a large unit of winged lancers with a hero.
My ally brought 2 units of archers, 1 unit of dryads, 2 units of wardancers, a noble and a treeman.
The beasts together had about 4 herds of gors, a unit of furies, 4 chariots, a unit of centigors, a unit of minators, a unit of ogres, and a giant. They had 2 heroes as well.
Deployment was simple. I loaded my half of the center of the board with my horse archers and then put both of my large calvary units on the left flank, hoping to overrun his units and break into the middle. The wood elf player set up a line along the middle and right flank, his treeman in the middle.
Beastmen players placed their gor units in the middle, screening the minators and ogres while their chariots covered each flank. I also got the joy of having the centigors, furies, and the giant on my end.
The game progressed pretty horribly for me. I passed only 1 of 7 required leadership tests (Ld

and did horribly both in shooting and close combat. My ally did alright and my horse archers in the middle did a good job of holding up the middle by fleeing and then regrouping, forcing the middle units to only move 5'' instead of 10''.
The game for me at least was pretty much over when I failed my terror check at the start of the 3rd turn, forcing my large winged lancer unit to flee off the board. In the end I was wiped out to the man and I didn't even stick around to see what happened to the rest because I was just so frustrated.
Overall I think I would have done better with deploying one of both of my big units in the middle. Looking back now as I write this I'm finding ways to make it better. Some shooting would have helped alot but I did not really utilize my panic-test causing abilities and should have just charged right into the middle, forcing lots of leadership checks and running down folks. I just have had several horrible losses (partially to dice, partially to who knows what) and it's really put a damper on my will to play. I'm trying to bounce back but since I'll be gone for awhile it's gonna be rough.
Anyways, hopefully next time I play I'll be able to field a majority of my own army and maybe have a little better luck.
