Ok i tried this 2x and once it worked and the other time the enemy left it alone, so i wasted 30 pts.

Anyway give a bolt thrower and engineer and rune of immolation, 90 pts total. Put it isolated far as you can away from your main army on a flank.

This is good for several reasons. One its just fun, two you can get a good flank shot or two in before the enemy hits your bolt thrower. Then when the crew is dead, it blows up and does 2d6 st4 or 6 (cant remember right now) hits. Played Bretonnia with it, got 2 flanks shots, missed one and killed 2 knights the other, then when his peg knights killed the bolt thrower, i got 10 hits with the 2d and wiped his 2 peg knights from the board. It was very entertaining.

The rune if immolation does 2d6 str 4 hits attributed like shooting. Looked it up last night.

Sneaky and very goblinoidish but also very entertaining on the battlefield.

I once duped my mate into attacking my Lizardmen and Slann. I gave my Slann a heart of woe (this is over 7 years ago now so different set of rules). He was like a suicide bomber ! The Dwarf unit destroyed my Slann and the Slann exploded taking out 17 Dwarfs It was one of my finest and funniest gaming moments ever. It lead to my friend saying something like... "oh well, shall we go to the pub then ?"

I used the MR Immolation for the 1st a couple of weeks back was a lot of fun and a big surprise for my opponent got a few laughs all round when I boldly declared that the Stumpies were blowing themselves up
