Probably a zillion years too late pointing this out, but found some typos that should be corrected some day
The value of some of the characters is different in the narrative portion than the list at the end.

Boris: Initiative 4 on pg 74, 5 on page 90
Saltan: BS5 on page 75; 3 on page 90
hag witch: 2 wounds on page 50; 3 on page 94

Also Boris' initiative seems kind of low for a Lord - all the other Lords (non-magic) are a five or 6

Never too late :)

Not the creator this army book, but I can give some insights. Concerning the errors in the book, if the creator works like me, he probably created the narrative sections first and then copied the stats to the army list section. In which case the stats in the bestiary (narrative) section should be the correct ones.

As for Boris' initiative, that stat has always been very low for him. The 2003 Kislev Games Workshop list had him had Initiative 3. I think this book's creator wanted to keep that as close to GW as possible.

Hope this helped.

True about Boris, but under 6th edition, chargers went first - so the penalty wasn't always as bad

Apologies for the threadomancy, and yes, charging was THE WAY to make sure you won combats back in 6th Ed. WHFB; if you didn't get the charge, you had better be spearmen, a unit of monsters, or some other equally defensive thing that didn't mind being charged....
