Hi just here to say my experiences with daemons.

they are so good that you and your friends know what the result of the battle is going to be before we even start playing and if you go with a lot of tzeentch then by the time you finish the phase the models would have eroded away and you will be forced to forfit the game.

It is not just the power of them wihch makes them un fun it is the fact that they are immune to phyc and are practically unbreakable witch means you dont use any tactics apart from choosing your list. Coupled with my main opponents being tomb kings and VC's means that its like a game of pokemon where you just send 1 unit out at a time and make the rest of your units que up to fight and just carry on doing this until the game is over. (if you are tzeench it is different since you dont fight)

Finally they are extremely expensive especcially if you go tzeencth or nurgle as even the core units cost a fortune!!!!

i dont think i am the only1 to find this but plz post differing opinions anyway.

I can relate in a couple ways.

For a short while I ran an all Khorne Daemons army and it beat everything so easily i quickly lost interest. On top of that I was missing out on both the shooting (my favorite) and the magic phase, making running forward and slaughtering get old really fast.

My friend has an all Nurgle Daemon force and a similar thing is happening. That list is SO good that it's neigh unbeatable so no one will play it and it takes no skill whatsoever to win with. Usually doesnt allow for very interesting games.

This is a worrying trend because I hear Warriors of Chaos are pretty rock in combat.

I have to say though, while it might make for a poor game for the Daemon player, it makes for a great contest for the opposition. I for one, like to be beaten now and then to make it more of a challenge. Providing that is, I get a chance to take my revenge.

2nd wave of Daemons should be out in the next few months, rumours are this is the Nurgle/Tzeentch stuff so we'll have plastics for everything. Personally I'd love to see Plastic Greater Daemons so we have some customisability, after all, Chaos isn't known for it's uniformity.
