Funny thing that I have been noticing with almost everybody I battle..

They are scared to hell with a guardsman with bolt gun.

Example, I was playing against a SM army, and one of my Vet.Sarge had a bolter in his hand. The Space Marine guy was scared to hell with that and wasted good amount of shooting.

Tyranids, similar case, and so on.

So... as a guard player, what I can't understand is why would people be so scared of a guardsman with a bolter?

Maybe their doing it so the Guards don't fire on themselves....A shot in the front is better than one in the back...

str 3 ap- flashlights are the laughing stock of 40k.
str 4 ap5 boltguns can do a lot more damage to peoples troops.

Yeah, flashlights are quite... weak

But I kinda think players are almost overreacting for the bolter, after all, only one guy had it, and max round he could shooot out of it is 2, with BS4, I'm sure there are more juicy target oppertunity that the guardman squad.
