I'll have to bow to your experience guys because I have never played as or against Beasts of Chaos. I just figured, without ranged weaponry they would suffer at the hands of missile heavy enemies who wanted to sit back all game. Smack, given what you've said above then I imagine Dwarfs (top quality ...

I'd quite like to see some form of psychology attached to surrounding terrain, probably woods, like the fear idea I suggested below. If the army is going to be a tactically advanced type of force than I'd also like to see some advanced scouting options. BTW, when I said the below, I should have said...

Tactically, I don't think you can beat a powerful fast moving multi-model unit. I do often employ the single monsters like the Varghulf because they have their place but they're quite exposed really. I prefer the protection of a unit.

I'll upload them to the forum slideshow.

He sure is Kiwi ! :D I spent most of today getting the army into a nice readable format. It's pretty neat and tidy but I would like to add a few graphics and proof read it through a couple of times and sort out some other small bits and pieces (like finding a miniature for the new Zu-Xhi hero). I al...

Yep, I was concerned about that but after opening the recent Skaven I don't know why I worried :D

The pdf is going well. I'd better post it in the Nautican thread so we don't go too off topic here.

Smack, you've just mentioned the 3 armies that I think I'll be fearing most when I get my Beastmen. Maybe I should add Empire to that too.

I particularly fear Dark Elves now. My armies are sometimes in a total mess by the time I manage to get into combat.

You have about 3 weeks left to enter pictures of your unpainted or undercoated miniatures that you plan to enter.

Are there any more takers out there ?

I'm pleased to say I have made some progress on the army book pdf tonight. It's not easy when you know as little about Word as I do. Getting the table of contents "almost right" has taken me 2 hours of mucking around and trial and error. Grrr.... Anyway, I thought I'd like you know that I'...

If the Greeks were anything like the Romans then a Slaaneshi theme might be very fitting.

A shaggoth ! Muhahahaha !!! What do you have in mind for him in the way of conversions ?

Tep, you;re right Engineer, a frenzy spell would fit right in. Although I still prefer the idea of an army wide type of frenzy in the rules. Something about the more they win the more frenzied they come. I think we've spoken about it already in another topic. How do you guys feel about having a powe...

I quite like the models too and everyone (absolutely everyone) say they are a pain in the proverbial to assemble. Assembly of metal minis puts my gaming buddy off so much he will only now buy plastic minis so if they're metal, they don;t go in his army ! It's just as well he hasn't got a high elf ar...

Thanks Thordoc. The Nauticans will be in there soon anyway, I've just finished the last update to the site. I've copied it into Word and I've started formatting it to make it look a bit "prettier" - I find Word very frustrating, I don't use it much. As my buddy used to say "Word's for...
