Seltgar, can I see a points breakdown of your list? It would really help with offering suggestions. Against forum rules to post individual points as it breaches IP law. Just looking for point totals for units, I don't need an individual breakdown. ie Corsairs with full command, Sea Serpent Standard...

Seltgar, can I see a points breakdown of your list? It would really help with offering suggestions. For some generalizations... First off I think your a little to Assassin heavy. I would drop 2 them and Shadowblade. One tooled out to your play style should be more than enough. Lokir works best with ...

Well firstly there is no such thing as US in 8th ed., but even in 7th ed. cavalry(US2) are counted as the same size as infantry(US1). Essentially the size chart is infantry/cavalry > monstrous infantry/cavalry > monsters. On ranged weapons, only the three main bows get two ranks. So no black powder...

@ Godless, So far all I have seen is rumors, so everything until the new book is released is conjecture. So I am going off of the prevalent ones I have come across. For the new killing blow rule, as I understand it. You can only killing blow a model the same unit size you are. So while Executioners ...

I'd hate to speculate until we do see the rules, but I do see a number of promising things from the more reliable rumors. As well as several nerfs. Corsairs with handbows will definately be alot more effective. As will the Crossbowmen. So I expect to see a price increase. Without a doubt Black Guard...

If percentages are used in conjunction with the Character, Special, and Rare limitations in the army books it will be a good thing. It would limit all Blood Knight armies with a couple a token skeleton units sitting in the back. Really just have to see where they break the percentages up into.

The bottom of my movement trays are magnetized like my mini's. So I transport them around in a box with a metal sheet on the bottom. The models and the trays don't slide at all. Heavy mini's like the Hydra I carry in seperately wrapped in a wash cloth. Otherwise they just sit at home in my china cab...

There are several reasons to take Warhawk riders. They fly, skirmish, and have decent survivability with 2 wounds each. With there manuverability they should be able to dance around out of the majority of the dwarven firing arc, and still be able to thin the ranks. Also they can deny table quaters a...

Just trying to post a list according to Sigmars limitations for a viable opponent not allowed to engage in melee, and try to win a shooting war only. Only other options available would to burn the hairy little buggers. So Black Dragon Egg, Black Dragon, and a War Hydra which I feel aren't very effec...

Corsairs can be armed with handbows, and don't suffer minus's for shooting. Sea Dragon Cloaks gives them a 4+ armour save against shooting. Giving the banner of Murder makes there shots armour piercing. You should see the horror of a unit charging these guys positioned on a hill. As for the Warhawks...

Well I wrote up two lists to face the Thorek Gunline. One for Dark Elves, and one for Wood Elves. You all can decide there competitiveness. Wood Elves Highborn, The Bow of Loren, Starfire Arrows, Briarsheath, Alter Kindred 245pts Noble, Hail of Doom Arrow 105pts 10 Glade Guard, Lords Bowmen, Musicia...

Why not add in the short story entries of SoK's competition?

Usually play Warhammer once a week. If we have a campaign or local tourney it goes up to 3-5 times a week. Saturdays are the main day for fantasy, sometimes Sunday or Wednesday. We usually throw down either 2000pt games or 3000pt games. 500pt warbands when we have a huge turnout and are short of tab...
