There was once a good tutorial in a WD or in one of the army books - I believe Wood Elves - on doing tatoos. How best and easiest to do this: - take a very fine detail brush, and paint the tatoo in the DARKEST tone of the color you want it to be - then paint the BASE color INSIDE that, leaving a bit...

Awesome Doomwheel Dims. It's the best painted one I've seen so far. I like the sewer "air vent" on one of the Skaven bases, where did you find that and are you going to add a few drain covers and grates to other models ? PS. I'll add some of your Doomwheel pics to the slideshow. Yes, that...

I finally finished the Doomwheel except for the base then!). Here are some nice pics, with closeups too. Also closeups of the first Clanrat unit. And especially for GomezAdams@Warseer a pic to show how well that pipe and model go together! http://i84.photobucket.com/albums/k18/pascalrooz...

I have been breaking my head over the water-problem lately. Until I could solve that. I dared not to glue the first models to my previously made basing. So I got stuck for a while. What was the problem? I wanted to create a water effect for the models walking in the drainage of the sewer. I could do...

You should probably ditch the Storm Vermin. True, they do pack a bit more punch than Clanrats, but they are way too costly for 1500 points. First of all, add weapon teams!!! Probably, since you want to emphasize CC, use the Doom Flayers. Then if you still have points, do add a unit of monks with a f...

Ooh, I like the sound of that: "The Dimps Approach" - although wrongly spelled, it's a stayer! LOL! Good luck on the slaves mate! |

The easiest thing I am doing, is to divide your clanrat box into two sets of 10 models. If you look closely, you'll see that 10 models are visibly wearing armour, while 10 other models are obviously not - they look a bit shabby-er too. Just don't equip those with shields, while the armoured do get s...

I have been quite occupied lately (damned Assassin's Creed II), but in little pockets of time I could get myself to do some work on the Skaven project. First of all, I wanted to show what I was working on for basing. As I said, I want to do a sewer theme. I got molds from Hirst Art, got to some cast...

I'd say: depends on your strategy; - do you want lots of UNITS? do you like weapon teams? Then take as small and as cheap as possible units (i.e. 20, banner only). That way you are able to field 3-4 units, equal amount of weapon teams, and still have room for fancy other stuff - Do you rely on a few...
