I've always got a kick out of these little guys and I got to thinking.

Have there ever been Snotling units other than the Snotling Bases and the Snotling Pump Wagon? If so, what were they?

Also, what kind of Snotling customs have you seen? I've stumbled across pictures of Snotlings riding a miniture Wolf Chariot, Snotlings using a miniature Doom Diver catapult, and a Snotling Squig Hopper. (The snotling was inside the Squig's mouth, holding onto its teeth like the bars of a proson. It was halarious.)

I've been trying to find it again, but I havent had any success yet. I want to find it again so I can try to figure out how it was made, . . . that way, maybe I can make one of my own.

In the early days, before real rules ! You seemed to be able to mix and match units, we certainly did, trying to bend as many rules as possible. I don't have the rules any more but I think I'm right in saying that providing the race's alignment was the same or similar then you could include them in your army.

Anyway, there's the background. Here's the result...

my friend brought a unit of snotlings to a game which were mounted on a magic carpet and guess what... they had crossbows and heavy armour ! Lol, we wet ourselves with laughter and let him use them anyway.

Those were the very, very early days. The games were never, ever balanced but they were so funnny :)

I'm guessing it's a classic version and the current version of the Pump Wagon?

it's 40K but still quit a uniqe couple of models.

Image
Single snotlings based individually on 20 mm bases. I tend to find that it is much easier to remember if I've used one-shot magic items if they are actually represented by a model or other token. I started with the mushroom markers for Night Goblins back in 5th edition and have continued the trend ever since. Note the snot with the platter, which is from an old 2nd edition 40K blister (a Painboy or a Runtherd, I cannot remember which).
Image
Our local campaigns use a modified version of the random scenario generator, which uses objective markers, so I just had to convert up a couple. The one on the left uses kegs and barrels from the Ogre and the old Dwarf sprues, while the one on the right has a puppet theatre made from scraps of balsa wood, with puppets from bretonnian helmet crests.

Ever wondered how come Snotlings haven't conquered world yet? They didn't have rat chariots! :) I guess at this rate I'll finish my Snotling army book by year 2050...
