So basically I had to take my ST apart, shave/ cut the glue off and start from scratch.... almost. The back wall was good, so after a little extra shaving of different pieces I've re-glued the walls, engine and wheels (including the pistons.) and the mount for the cannon. due to what looks like casting issues (degraded quality after so many models made.) or just miss matched pieces I'll have to use some GS to fill in the gaps but I'll worry about it later. What I'm debating now is open or closed.... do I want to leave it so I can take the top off and you can see inside it? or do I want to glue the top on and not worry about it. I'm not sure I can see both ideas but can't decide which one....

Anybody else have a ST?
if so, what did you do?

/: Also, I'm not gluing the turret to the top. I want it to be free to rotate and be removable for putting it away, the Engineer will be modular as well. I want it so I can field him with my Cannon crew if I want. I'm not using all the bits, I've left off the extra shields and the skull for on top of the engine.

I have 4 of the things. All of mine are inclosed. I figured I'm not going to be pulling the thing apart to show the inside off to my friends, so I wasnt going to put the extra effort into painting the interior anyway.

As for the turrets, I didnt glue mine either. They even rotate if you want to turn them. (They are pretty tight though.) As for the Engineer, I decided to go with the closed top on the Steam Tank, that way I was able to build the Engineeres as characters to add to my army where needed.

Well, it would be cool if your engineer was poking his head and torso out of the top hatch thingy. If it has one that opens (I've only seen a few pics of steam tanks) just an idea, you can leave the interior unseen.
