een a while since I played my Dwarfs and then only in small games so have struggled to put together a decent 2250 list any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Lord (w. Hammerers)
- Shieldbearers, GW, MR Steel, RO Stone, RO Resistance, MR Kragg Grimm, RO Fury

Runesmith (w. Warriors)
- Shield, MR Balance, RO Spellbreaking

Runesmith (w. Warriors)
- Shield, Spelleater Rune, RO Spellbreaking

Thane (w. Hammerers)
- MR Gromil, RO Resistance, RO Cleaving, BSB

Hammerers x17
- FC, RO Stoicism

Warriors x21
- FC

Warriors x21
- FC

Quarrellers x10
- Shields

Quarrellers x10
- Shields

Bolt-Thrower
- Engineer, RO Penetrating

Bolt-Thrower
- Engineer

Cannon
- Engineer, RO Forging

Organ Gun

Gyrocopter

TOTAL 2,244

Not sure about the amount of artillery, thinking of maybe dropping the Cannon or both Bolt-Throwers in favour of more infantry. No Ironbreakers available unfortunately.

i like it, i think its a good solid list.

I think ive said this before, but rune of resistance is useless on lord with shieldbearers since he is already immune to killing blowby being Unit strenght 3, your paying 15 pts for immunity to poison, which with a 1+ armor save takes care of. So drop that. Keep Ro Resistance on your BSB.

I really like the feel of the army. Let us know how it goes.

looks good. Think about dropping a unit of quarrlers for a stone thrower. Quarls are good but a stone with accuracy can wipe out a lot of stuff. It looks good either way, now we just need results. good luck with them and ive found dwarves do better when their general (you) is drinking beer too lol

Not this list I modified it again to include

Lord
Runesmith
Thane BSB
Longbeards x25
Quarrellers x10
Quarrellers x10
Hammerers x19
Hammerers x18
Bolt-Thrower
Bolt-Thrower
Organ Gun
Gyrocopter

Used it in a tournament a fortnight ago, army worked well but the General (meaning ME) didn't, made too many stupid mistakes also got pinged in the composition scoring system got 42/100 which was freaking harsh. Currently modifying it for 3rd tournie in July

that army was hit that hard in composition (what was everyone elses armies??)

apart from the 2 units of hammerers there is nothing in there that you wouldn't expect to see in a dwarf army, if fact there is a distinct lack of gunpowder weapons.

lord in one of the hammerer units, i'm guessing the thane BSB was in the longbeards and the Runesmith in the other unit of hammerers

i'm surprised at the compositon score you got there, that to my mind was a very balanced army that was set up to take on pretty much anything that came.

yeah the comp scoring for that tournament was way off, playing in 3rd tournament next weekend. Basically same army but i dropped the Gyrocopter, added in another unit of 10 Warriors, gave the BSB MR Grungi and added an extra Thane

Have you considered giving the MR of Grungni to the standard bearer within one of your units. This will allow you to do other things with your BSB.

Just a question about this list, in order to take longbeards you can't take more units of long beards then you have warriors unless this changed in some FAQ. This list has no warrior this is where you may of dropped point?

Or do The quarrelers count toward this?

Post subject:

If you take a Lord then you are allowed 1 more longbeard unit than you have warriors. So if you take zero warriors you would be able to take 1 longbeard unit.

Well Kiwi hopefully you know to stay on a hill.......in a corner......in a building if that's possible. Just didn't know if you knew your dwarf tactics. I've lost many a game because I didn't know how to arrange my troops.

P.S. I don't mean to be naive
